Descripción
Colors de Benetton Man by Benetton is an oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 1988, this composition was created by Ann Gottlieb. The top notes unfold a fresh accord of lemon, sour lime, lavender, coriander, bergamot, and green leaves. The heart reveals a woody floral with cypress, fir, carnation, cyclamen, jasmine, and rose. The base settles on vanilla, cedar, amber, sandalwood, benzoin, coconut, and patchouli.

It’s a workhorse: fresh, pleasant, and very prominent lavender, cypress, and fir give it a clean, crisp feel with a touch of bergamot. It runs about $25, it’s daily wear but I associate it with outdoor days, post-gym sessions, or weekends in jeans. Longevity hovers around 6-8 hours depending on application; the price-to-quality ratio is excellent.
This fragrance is a workhorse; its aroma is very fresh and pleasant. I can tell you that lavender, cypress, and fir are very present, giving an impression of cleanliness and freshness complemented by bergamot, as my predecessor said. Without a doubt, it’s a low-cost perfume, around $25, that you can use daily, and above all, I associate it more with outdoor days or after a workout, and weekends when dressed very casually (in jeans). Fixation is approximately 6 to 8 hours depending on the amount applied; very good price-to-quality ratio.
It arrived as a rebound pick and is potent at first: lavender and a citrus I think is bergamot. It lasts well on my skin. The heart remains more citrus than floral, with noticeable cypress, and the base is a constant wood. Ideal for everyday wear on days that aren’t too hot; even though it’s citrus, the opening is dense for summer. I see it for a young crowd (15-30 years old). Out of the Benettons I’ve tried, this is the most masculine, and it’s exactly what I’m looking for since I hate vague, undefined scents.
I have it saved to use later. I prefer this version over Cumbia Colors Man 2005. Good price-to-quality ratio.
They gave me this perfume. It’s good, youthful. Sweet and green. I still have 7ml of the bottle, which was 100ml. Recommended. Still, it’s noticeable after 5 hours, and the fragrance lingers on clothes.
I have to say it, and I know I’ll get a lecture, but this perfume is DISGUSTING, honestly I don’t even know how to describe it, not citrusy, not floral, not woody, or anything. I bought it without smelling it and unfortunately, I didn’t like it at all; it’s an aroma that soaks into the skin, when I used it I received many negative comments, I don’t understand how some people like it.
I tried it recently and it’s not even similar to the one I had back in 1992; this is definitely another one, a total change underneath.
It was never to my liking, and here they paint fabulous notes that I never perceived in the bottle. No rose, no vanilla, no jasmine, much less sandalwood and coconut; these are powerful notes that highlight horrors. Just lavender and wood, plus something else I’ve never distinguished. Sorry for the expression, but it smells like another run-of-the-mill guy who passes without shame or glory, like a guy chasing women, and well, I never liked it since I had it twice and gave it away.
They gave it to me years ago and I still keep it. I use it little because I never fully liked it. It lasts all day on my skin, it’s eternal, and even after showering, it lingers right on the skin. It doesn’t seem youthful to me; on the contrary, it feels old-fashioned to my nose. I don’t like the bitter floral note it develops over time.
I have it, smells good, aromatic, slightly sweet, and with floral notes. It’s rare and complex.
Smells like toasted coconut, some soap, and floral. DELICIOUS. Mature perfume.
I have it; smells good, aromatic, sweet, with floral notes. Weird and complex.
Honestly… I’ve never quite figured out what it smells like, I just know it’s a pretty strong scent and not very pleasant. It lasts way too long on the skin (that fixative should be reserved for scents that actually smell good), and no, I never liked it. It smells like a 50-year-old man, absolutely nothing youthful.
Honestly, I never got the scent. It’s very strong, unpleasant, and lasts forever on the skin; that fixative should be reserved for those who smell good. I didn’t like it; it smells like a 50+ man, nothing youthful.
