Descripción

CK2 by Calvin Klein is a woody aromatic fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2016, the nose behind this composition is Pascal Gaurin. The top notes combine wasabi, violet leaves, mandarin, and pear; the heart reveals pebbles, Hedione, lily root, peony, and rose; while the base notes close the olfactory pyramid with vetiver, white musk, incense, and sandalwood.

  • I tried it this afternoon at El Corte Inglés. I had so many desires to get it after reading the info I couldn’t wait any longer. That original and minimalist bottle, the youthful campaign… Upon trying it, honestly, it disappointed me. It felt more like a man’s scent than a woman’s, and the smell was gone in less than 3 hours. I doubt I’ll buy it.

  • It has a salty note like P.R. Olympia or CK Reveal. It’s not very original, but I suppose lovers of marine notes will like it. Suitable for summer, unisex.

  • I have to say I liked it… At first, the opening felt very green, probably from the violet leaves, and fresh from the tangerine. In the heart, the stone note stands out and lasts almost until the end where it blends with the incense and turns out quite nice; the vetiver adds a sweet note that suits it perfectly. Honestly, I felt it was quite masculine due to the earthy or dusty smell from the stones, but after 8 hours on blotter, it has a rather feminine scent, I even think the rose note is showing. I didn’t try it on skin so I can’t say if it lasts. It could be a smart purchase if you intend to use it as a daily daytime perfume; it’s not intrusive and suits well. I think it’s more of an timeless fragrance, but for everyday use.

It reminded me of Benetton’s ‘United Dreams Men Be Strong’ in terms of its promising potential. It’s a summer fragrance, not recommended for winter or seduction, as it provokes nothing, only giving a sense of cleanliness and sobriety. A perfume to wear daily at the office, nothing more. I liked it because it’s definitely good, but it’s not for galas or parties because it wouldn’t stand out.

  • Medium opening at first, but after 10 minutes it’s terrible and very skin-scented. Another rip-off from the ‘luxury’ brands.

  • I think Calvin Klein is lowering the quality of its fragrances. This is clear in this new creation. It’s the typical citrus cologne type like CK One. I don’t think it’s a perfume to take seriously.

  • chamuco638

It reminds me of Hugo Boss Boss Element. Honestly, I don’t know why others don’t like it; to me, it smells great.

  • 552gabriela

I tried it on my skin and, wow, it’s not for me. It starts fresh and soft, but then it gets heavy and changes completely. It gives me a headache. By the end of the day, it smelled like old wood. I wouldn’t buy it.

  • Espartaco

I tried it on Saturday. It’s an ozonic scent in the style of 90s unisex youth fragrances. At first, it smells faintly of melon or exotic fruit, aquatic. There’s no actual melon, but the top phase gives a fruity sensation, nothing invasive, like a natural body mist. In the middle and base, woody, salty, and mineral notes emerge; nothing concrete is defined because they float over the aquatic/ozonic base that dominates until it fades. It felt like a fragrance with no distinct notes, more of a blend evoking an expensive spa, towel softener, the mineral touch of hot water, a hint of fruit from massage oils… Do you remember that Oriental spa craze from the late 90s? Bamboo, porcelain bowls, slate floors, textured towels, silence… this perfume reminds me exactly of that. Medium longevity, very poor sillage. It’s not bad, actually, it even made me laugh. I don’t know if it’s the perfume or the time, since I wasn’t testing any ozonic scents. I’d use it after a shower, to go out for an ice cream in September, or just to be at home. It’s not unpleasant. As a CK One substitute, it’s a failure; it’s heavily discounted and smells like a discontinued product on the news. The bottle is very beautiful; it wins in person.

  • IsaacScentLover

Perfectly unisex. I love it from start to finish; the opening is fresh, and I feel the violet, then come the pebbles or concrete, my favorite part. I consider this fragrance very original, although the sillage and longevity are very poor.

  • What is this fragrance doing to me? It has nothing to do with CK One. The first one is fresh and aseptic but woody; CK2 is also fresh and aseptic but warm. Past the first phase (the one I dislike most, with violet, pear, and slightly sweet tangerine, as if sugar had been added, though they probably just crushed them in a mortar and released their natural sugar), the fragrance unfolds in a game of salty, ozonic, mineral notes, synthetically woody with a bitter black tea aftertaste. It seems contradictory, but CK2 reminds me a lot of Gucci Pour Homme II, a perfume I hate, although here the warm and fruity notes are overshadowed by the ozonic/mineral nature. Short longevity and minimal sillage, but on my skin, it lasts longer than CK One. CK2 is a great option for someone who wants to be lightly scented; the 100 ml bottle is discounted to under thirty euros, I think it’s a decent cologne for relaxed moments. It’s not a bomb, but it has something that hooks you.

  • javier castillo

I just bought it; I liked it quite a bit, and it lasts a long time on my skin, although I see it as more feminine than masculine.

  • I’ve been looking for a clean-smelling fragrance for ages, and none convinced me until I found CK2. I love that sense of cleanliness, especially the pebble, incense, and sandalwood notes. I tested it on my skin, and it lasted many hours, surely around ten, though closer to the skin. I’m eager to buy it for hot days, the beach, or nightouts. It’s a great summer proposal, an amazing clean scent. Give it a try; it’s the best of this line. In winter, I die for Euphoria. Very well, CK!

  • Fantastic for daily wear, very pleasant and not intrusive. I find it captivating from the very first moment, fresh and sparkling, reminding me of the first colognes of the 90s. When I go on trips with my husband, it’s the perfume we both use.

  • Fantastic. I think I’ll bathe in this during the summer. I wanted to buy Pret a Porter out of nostalgia but stumbled upon the CK2 tester at a great price and couldn’t resist. It reminded me of Pret a Porter but with a more mature touch, as if that fragrance had grown up with me. It’s fresh without being citrusy, with that clean vibe of 90s colognes, no sweetness. I thought the pebble note was a joke, but it’s what I perceive most; it gives it a super cool urban touch alongside violet, peony, and wasabi. Contrary to what I read, I feel it’s quite feminine, nothing fruity or candy-like, and it lasts long on me. On a man, it could work well due to its woody phase, which is nonexistent on me but present on the paper. A pleasant surprise in a beautiful bottle.

  • Mid-September. In Spain, summer seems to die on August 31st, which is better for me. I can swim calmly in the municipal pool, only crossing paths with retirees and the guy who tests the chlorine. Cool mornings, getting out of the water, and stepping on hot cement tiles feel pleasant. The chlorine scent on my skin mixes with cut grass and cypress. As I dry off, the aroma of hot stone, earth, and salty skin covered in chemicals transports me back to childhood summers. Damn, I expected CK2’s “Concrete” to smell like this. A fake fresh nature, staged in a concrete city with chemicals and hot stone effluvia. I understand the comparison to Gucci Pour Homme II, but more than violet, I perceive an undeclared tea and bamboo. The wasabi is a mutant smile that wakes you up, with an elevated peppery touch. The most original CK in years; I’d use it more in spring and autumn than in summer.

  • rafajurado

Very fresh, almost herbal. Personally, I don’t like it at all; it reminds me of freshly chopped parsley. If they discontinue it, try Equivalenza’s aromatic woody 361; it lasts a long time and is perfect for daytime and summer. A fresh unisex EDT for those seeking coolness.

  • Natalylopez

Too bad they’re discontinuing it; I had such a hard time finding a bottle. The transparent, innovative packaging feels clean and calming, looking gorgeous on the vanity. At first, the scent seemed strange to me, which always happens with new things, but now it smells soft and more feminine than masculine. It’s like bathing in a fresh water spa surrounded by white and gray stones, plants, and cacti with a green, spicy aroma, wasabi-like. Notes of clean, fresh water, stones, cactus, wasabi, and green leaves. I like it more and more; it doesn’t remind me of anything I know. Too bad they’re dropping it due to low sales or making it a limited launch.

  • gaston_AR

CK One hit: fresh, refined, and perfectly balanced for unisex wear. The stones make it unique and personal without being intrusive. Methyl dihydrojasmonate (Hedione) gives it that futuristic touch that matches its lab or spaceship-style bottle. Flowers, fruits, leaves, and roots create a perfect balance from start to finish, proving it’s a designer masterpiece. Medium longevity, an ambiguous and youthful scent, ideal for daytime, semi-formal events, or even as a CK2 Sport alternative. If you have a collection, definitely include it; if not, be warned—it smells odd at first, which makes it original and positive for me, even if it might seem negative to others.

  • Calvin Klein isn’t a brand known for big launches or groundbreaking fragrances; rather it bets on the safe and on selling; their fragrances tend to be somewhat derivative. Aside from that I can assure you that CK2 is different original and high quality. It smells like summer with all the letters. Not the typical summer smell of coconut water or fruits. This one smells mainly like a pool the aroma emanating from a clean pool with chlorine and its products; I assume it’s the contribution of the stone note which also resembles a spa smell. Plus it smells like a tan not suntan lotion; it’s like bronzed clean skin. You can also detect a clean beach smell. Basically if you like summer and everything it entails: pool beach sun this perfume is the one. It has exceptional longevity for a perfume in its category and price; in general summer perfumes tend to last very little. In my first experience I sprayed it on my hand and after spending a day wetting the same hand including with water and soap I could still perceive the perfume; in short a tough perfume type ‘water resistant’ making it perfect for beach and pool days. As for projection and sillage the performance is correct for a summer perfume. Anyway considering all the above: Scent: 10 Longevity: 9 Sillage: 7 Projection: 8 Price/Quality: 10 Originality: 9 Age: All. Unisex: Totally.

  • It’s really very fresh smells like water (or what we imagine water to smell like) it’s super clean but in my opinion this doesn’t make it a soft fragrance; on the contrary on my skin it becomes strong and sometimes even dense though this only happens at the beginning. Without a doubt an excellent choice for summer. Regarding its unisex aspect in my taste it feels more feminine than anything else because the rose scent is very accentuated.

  • The last great surprise from this brand was the Reveal duo built on salt fruits and alcoholic beverages that resulted in an incredibly interesting mix but they couldn’t escape the fate of most when the brilliant Calvin left the brand and Coty bought the perfume division. CK2 was born in 2016 targeting youth again establishing a presence on social media and once again transcending gender and racial barriers. The fragrance has the audacity to use unconventional notes like spicy wasabi at the opening (there’s also a perceptible hint of floating cucumber on my skin). As it develops notes of violet leaves ylang-ylang and a rare note of hot pebbles emerge (I swear I can distinguish it since it appears a few minutes before the exquisite incense and sandalwood at the end). CK2 doesn’t have a single sweet note (I never detected the tangerine from the opening). It smells spicy mineral slightly transparent and lightly metallic. Nothing synthetic. Totally modern; I dare say it smells like the future. I’m sorry that so many brand fanatics haven’t given it the chance it deserves on the skin. The experiment on blotter paper is invalid in this case: it smells terrible on paper. It’s designed to play with our pH like very few others I can remember. The performance for a woody/spicy/aquatic scent is more than worthy: it projects well for about 5 hours and lasts up to 8 hours in longevity. The rounded bottle rests on a square base that serves as both cap and stand to keep the bottle upright. Both the bottle and the cap protrude and stand out from the classic fragrance bottle shape. It’s truly beautiful on the outside and inside. It has an Oriental minimalism that makes me recall the best creations by Miyake or Kenzo and can be found at a fairly accessible price in some perfumeries (not the big chains). Give it a try and let yourself be carried away.

  • It’s like being inside a pool covered in suntan lotion wearing dark sunglasses and staring at the Caribbean Sea in front of you; that’s exactly what this fragrance conveys—a pure delight. And its longevity for the price… it still smells amazing even after I shower!

  • Why does it smell like flowers on my skin? Flowers in a cemetery… I really wanted to love this fragrance, but I only like it; I don’t feel the summer or the pool vibe, even though I live in a warm, humid city. Its longevity and sillage are good, and the price-to-quality ratio is excellent.

I’ve loved this Calvin Klein fragrance, CK2. What a peculiar, evocative scent that brings back memories of places and moments. I can smell layers as it develops: it opens with florals—I detect violet, lily-of-the-valley root, and rose—accompanied by a base of incense, as if these flowers are burning; yet it doesn’t feel smoky, more like toasted skin. From there, the flowers come and go, with some clean woods in the background and a salty note that ties it all together. Perhaps the most beautiful compliment I’ve ever received was after wearing CK2: I went for a run in the park, and my mom saw me passing and said, ‘You smell like seawater.’ I turned around and asked, ‘Do you like it?’ and she replied, ‘I love the smell of the sea, and you smell like seawater.’ I keep a special fondness for this piece solely because of that memory, which evokes the sea, sun-toasted skin, and the stones along the coast. It has an amazing lasting impression. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever known from Calvin Klein; it’s a shame it’s been discontinued. Performance is average, around 6 hours, with a somewhat discreet projection for the first two hours. Unbeatable for the beach, summer, or when you’re going to the pool to cool off. Great for casual wear. Excellent quality-to-price ratio. It generates compliments.

  • A really rich perfume, and most importantly, it has an incredible sillage—you won’t go unnoticed.

  • fernandovidallorca

Does anyone know of a clone for this perfume? I think it’s been discontinued or it’s no longer sold here in Chile; it just disappeared. Please comment if you know of any clones.

  • Gentil vagabond

Uneven scent; I can’t think of any clone that resembles it, so don’t buy blindly. I detect a feminine vibe from the floral notes. I’m a huge Calvin Klein fan and have owned too many of the Mr. Klein line, but this one breaks the house’s usual performance mold—it’s an aroma on another level, almost niche. It didn’t blow my mind, but I appreciate the creativity of both the bottle and the fragrance; it’s very innovative.

  • svazquez7

I loved it; it’s a fragrance that’s nothing generic and perhaps hyper-modern. It’s sweet but pleasant, and I see it as more unisex than masculine. The bottle is beautiful!

  • Joaquin Jure

Without a doubt, my favorite Calvin Klein perfume and one of my favorites overall; what a pity it was discontinued. The mineral notes gave it a fresh essence adaptable to almost any situation. The longevity is among the best you can ask for from Calvin Klein, and the sillage is noticeable but not invasive. 10/10

  • Pleasant and versatile aroma, the kind that won’t disgust anyone. I think it’s well-blended, definitely unisex, even though you can tell the flowers are there. It has a salty touch, I suppose that’s what they mean by the ‘pebble’ mineral notes 😂. The performance is personal bubble; you won’t stand out, but those who get close will detect it. Longevity on my skin is about four hours (with heat). Without being a masterpiece, it seems like an honest perfume, wearable in any situation and season. It reminded me a lot of a Kenzo l’eau I tried.

  • Fergaracosta

I love it, even though I understand it’s not for everyone; it’s very unisex and develops better in warm climates with good longevity and sillage (at least in my case). I perceive it as a scent that transports you to a beach vacation: it smells aquatic, green, and clean, with that super hard-to-describe but very present wet stone note that makes the perfume something unique and magical, like a spa experience on the beach on a warm summer day. It’s not too floral, citrusy, fruity, or woody, so there’s no need to have gender expectations; it’s super unisex. I’m a woman and I love it because I’ll rarely find something or someone that smells the same (plus, it’s discontinued and hard to get).

  • Original in its own right, a true jewel. If you find it, don’t let it slip away. It won’t leave you indifferent. It has good longevity and projection; it won’t get you big compliments… it’s a bit misunderstood but it’s marvelous.

  • Supervane38

It’s the Calvin Klein perfume that managed to be an exception in the house, a synthesis of my personality. I’m so sorry it was discontinued. It’s intense, transparent, sometimes spicy, fresh, and passionate. Energetic and singular. That’s all this perfumery jewel is. In Argentina, I only find it in one store, as a tester. I have very little left and feel the urge to buy it again and again. Years ago…

  • I close my eyes and I’m sitting by the edge of a pool in full sun, drinking a well-chilled tonic. There’s no wind. It smells like water with pool products, warm wet stones, and a drying towel. Around me, wood and foliage from trees that aren’t casting shadows yet but cool you down from the irrigation. There’s a hint of a flower in the background, almost imperceptible. CK2 is a perfect summer afternoon to disconnect and enjoy the silence. Longevity: 4 hours. Sillage: weak. Occasion: casual. Bottle: original and comfortable. And I love that it’s not sweet ♡

  • jarsofjam

I bought a tester at a Nordstrom Rack in 2017, used it a few times, and never went back. At the time, scents didn’t interest me much, but seven years later, when I found it again, I regretted not taking the full bottle.

  • I had it, and honestly, it wasn’t anything surprising; it gives me the vibe of a sunny beach day. You can tell it’s a fresh perfume with a soft presence. It doesn’t try to stand out, but it definitely makes you look good in a daily situation.

  • Alexdimebag

I tried it and it smells weird but good: fresh and clean, without any acid or aquatic notes. It’s like clean water with a salty touch from sunscreen and a bit of wasabi heat. After 30 minutes, it loses its freshness and settles into a creamy scent, like sunscreen without coconut, dry toasted skin, and clean, with that earthy note of wet stones after rain. It’s a unique and rich aroma; I love it. What a pity it’s so hard to find now, because the remaining pieces are ridiculously priced and not worth it. That’s all…
