It opens with cardamom, green apple, and green mandarin, blending with amber and lavender for warmth. It’s perfect for mild or cold weather and chilly springs, though maybe not the best pick for summer. Compared to Armani Code Profumo, it’s a near-clone—the scent is almost identical—but Swiss Arabian offers better potency and projection for a fraction of the price. It works well for anything from casual to formal and feels ideal for a date. Although it’s not officially listed in the pyramid, it hints at soft vanilla, orange blossom, and nutmeg, adding a spiced sweetness and a creamy leather feel. It’s not quite the same vibe as PDM’s Althair, but it recalls that aesthetic. It suits people over 25, though younger folks can pull it off too. I perceive it as more masculine than feminine, so as a unisex option, it doesn’t quite convince me.
This is a super warm fragrance, the kind that feels like a hug. It smells of cardamom and aromatic apple, then dries down into something deeply amber and sensual. I loved it from the first spray because it lacks that typical harsh alcohol hit found in many Arabic perfumes. Longevity and sillage are top-notch: about 8 hours with a medium-to-high trail.
What a joy the first spray was in my hand. It instantly brought back memories of my Armani Code Profumo, the discontinued classic. With more testing days ahead, I’d say the longevity is actually even better than the original.
If you’re craving a full-on leather scent, this is the one. It kicks off super citrusy with lots of orange and mandarin, plus a hint of green apple. Then, gradually, that clean, sweet, chocolatey leather unfolds, thanks to the leather, tonka bean, and nutmeg. Imagine eating an orange chocolate while wearing a leather jacket. Just be warned: getting decants from this brand is tough; eventually, the decant price equals the full bottle. If you want to blind test it, head to Zara and sniff ‘Sand Desert At Sunset’. If you love that orange and tonka bean combo, ‘Cardamom And Apple’ might be your next obsession.
