Exquisite! It’s 90% identical to Scandal EDT. I just received it, so I can’t confirm longevity yet, but the price makes it an absolute steal. Highly recommend! Notes of orange blossom, mandarin, and caramel—pure bliss 🤌🏼

  • Let’s be honest: Maison Alhambra has some of the best and worst clones in mainstream Arabic perfumery. This one is in the middle; neither good nor bad. It approaches the DNA of Scandal, but it’s not a good clone. It smells much more aromatic and synthetic, especially at first (more synthetic than Scandal or Mandarin Sky, which is already difficult), settling into a semi-aromatic sweet dry down. It lacks the sweet mandarin note, opting for a more herbal tone, making it a different perfume from Scandal’s most appealing version. Don’t misinterpret this as crazy hate, but with cheaper alternatives like Fragrance World’s Scandant available, there’s no point in buying Candid. Poor performance, average sillage for the first 30 minutes, zero maceration effect, and a very high price ($16 USD xd) for what it is. If you can save an extra $10-15 to get Mandarin Sky, don’t hesitate, BUT if Scandant from FW is available, skip Mandarin Sky. Scandant performs better, projects better, costs about $13 USD, and smells closer to Scandal EDT. 1. Scandant FW, 2. Mandarin Sky, 3. Candid. Hopefully they reformulate (now called So Candid, same thing) and manage to make a better perfume, given the scarcity of Scandal clones worth the price. Overall: 3.5/10

  • I tried the reformulation ‘So Candid’ and it’s about 90% identical to Jean Paul Gaultier’s Scandal. At first, it smells much more citrusy and aromatic, with bergamot and mandarin dominating the first few minutes, but after 15 minutes, it settles into the classic Scandal EDT scent. Projection is decent (around 2 meters) and the trail is good (7 meters), smelling pleasant both fresh and dry down. As it dries, you get soft caramel, the dry vanilla of tonka bean, and a woody vetiver touch. Overall, it smells good, feels youthful, and even a bit flirtatious. If someone hit on me wearing it, I’d definitely wear it more often, haha. Rating: 8/10

  • I tried the ‘So Candid’ reformulation, and honestly, it smells a ton like Jean Paul Gaultier’s Scandal (90% similarity). The opening is more aromatic and citrusy, with orange blossom and mandarin dominating at first. After about 15 minutes, it settles into that classic Scandal EDT scent. Projection is decent (2 meters), sillage is great (7 meters), and it smells amazing both fresh and dry down. Dried down, you get soft caramel, a dry vanilla tonka bean touch, and woody vetiver. Overall, a pleasant, youthful, and slightly flirtatious scent. If someone flirted with me, I’d blame that for wearing it more often lol. Rating: 8/10
