  This is an Eau Fraîche that performs like a Toilette; it smells like summer written in scent, ideal for spring-summer, daily wear but with class. It’s sunscreen with style, just like the name suggests: not for goddesses, but for people with attitude. Projection is medium-to-high at first, then softens as it dries; on me, it lasts a solid 2 hours and about 5-6 hours total, which is pretty good, though the price is high and there are cheaper alternatives with a similar vibe. The opening is very citrusy, then comes the tiare, jasmine, orange blossom, and magnolia (the elegant touch), with coconut and a sweet vanilla trail. As it dries further, woody notes, amber, resins, and a smoky touch of myrrh emerge. Imagine a bouquet of tiare, orange blossom, jasmine, and magnolia over a giant coconut, bathed in woods, resins, amber, myrrh, and a thread of vanilla. I’d compare it to Saffron Burrows in Andromache of Troy: living near the sea, the heat of the sand, and the queen’s elegance fit her perfectly, just like the bottle and name. I recommend it if you love sunscreen-style scents because they’re beautiful, even if the price might not match up with similar alternatives these days. But if you’re in love with those perfumes, this is yours.

The opening is citrusy and softens quickly, letting the tiare, magnolia, a hint of lavender, and coconut milk with a slight bitterness shine through—nothing cloyingly sweet. It has a resemblance to Lolita Lempicka’s Elle L’aime, but this Estée Lauder version is fresher, subtler, and less creamy; Lolita’s would be for night, while this is for day or late afternoon. The longevity on my skin is seven to eight hours with medium-to-high projection for the first two hours, which is great performance. It has a youthful elegance, nothing matronly, suitable for any age and even for men.

I’d say Lolita’s is for summer nights, while this is perfect for daytime or late afternoon. On my skin, it lasts seven to eight hours with medium-to-high projection for the first two hours, so the performance is excellent. It has a youthful elegance, nothing matronly, suitable for any age. Plus, men can wear it perfectly too.
