  It’s a brutal, rich, highly personal, and high-quality fragrance. With the return of chypres, this new batch combines traditional essences into an elegant, modern, and very wearable scent. On my skin, the leather stands out—luxurious, Italian, with a perfect finish, paired with jammy plums and spices where I detect a slight peppery kick. It also smells of rose notes. A Coty employee mentioned it’s made with black roses… (in any case, it looks great commercially 😉 It’s distinguished and has excellent performance. A fragrance to wear all day (and night) with just a few sprays. A great perfume to leave a personal mark wherever you go.

On my skin, the leather stands out—a luxurious, Italian leather with a perfect finish, paired with candied plums and spices where I notice a slight peppery kick. There are also rose notes. A Coty employee told me it’s made with black roses… (whatever, it sounds great commercially 😉 It’s distinguished with excellent performance. A fragrance to wear all day and night with just a few sprays. A great perfume to leave your personal mark wherever you go.

  This fragrance is identical to Armani Cuir Amathiste; in fact, both are works by Michel Almairac. Bottega Veneta pulled it from the market, and then Armani released it.

  It’s almost identical to the original BV, but with an extra touch of sweetness. The EdV opens with a mentholated, spicy patchouli that quickly turns serious as the leather, plum, and rose notes rise. Wearing it feels like being wrapped in a burgundy velvet blanket: delicate and majestic, yet full of attitude. It’s a serious perfume that both invites and keeps people at a distance. Projection is good, though longevity isn’t beastly: about 7 hours on my skin. It works best in cold weather or transitional seasons (autumn or rainy days), though it also shines on cold spring days or at night. I see it as unisex, even if the rose and plum might scare off purists. I can picture both a serious guy in a suit and a girl in a leather jacket, jeans, and great style. I think it suits many people if paired well. Pleasant: 7/10 Interesting: 8/10 Versatile: 7/10 Original: 5/10 (it’s a flanker very similar to the original)
