It opens with a sweet almond note that gradually reveals itself, followed by a delicate apricot-vanilla blend. There’s a hint of bronzer, likely thanks to the coconut. The flowers are subtle and don’t overpower anything. After a while, the sandalwood emerges beautifully blended with the musk; I don’t detect any neroli or that sharp, typical vanilla. The notes unfold in shifts, taking turns. It’s tender, with jasmine standing out more than the rose. A fresh, clean soapy scent peeks through. The first time, it lasted incredibly long—over 10 hours. It’s soft, leaving a playful and undefined trail. My take: while my nose conjured up very sweet images and scenes, I loved it.
What really stands out is the almond, with a bitter and spicy twist. It’s about 50% like JHG’s Mmm, a bit like Hypnotic Poison, and quite similar to Serge Lutens’ Datura Noir, but here you can really feel the floral waves of jasmine, all very creamy. It’s an elegant, sober, and cozy perfume.
