This perfume was exclusively for alpha males; nowadays, I don’t see anyone wearing it.

What nostalgia, finding this here! It was my favorite perfume in the 2000s until I switched to Axe during my teenage years. It’s funny to think I used those kinds of colognes as a kid, but those were different times.

  • I bought it a few days ago based on reviews. Today, it would be considered an old-school or barbershop scent, but for what’s now called barbershop (fresh, talcum-powdered, mentholated, soft), this fits that category, though it takes some really long minutes after application to settle. I don’t feel it smells good. I can’t believe I used this at 14; I remember it being much more citrusy. Maybe the reformulations weren’t kind. Based on what it offers, it should go in the barbershop, old-school, vintage category… but its opening is aggressive: shrill lemon and synthetic, like a bathroom disinfectant, explosive and astringent lavender. After 20 minutes, it becomes more bearable; a calm lavender emerges, the lemon drops, and it turns woody, soft, and vanilla-like. Honestly, I don’t see it as recommendable today; there are more bearable old-school options available in October 2022. Worth noting that as a cologne, the performance is excellent (about 4 hours before I wanted to take it off), with moderate to high sillage and projection for the first hour, then it drops significantly but is still felt in bursts with movement—you can’t miss it.

  • I bought it a few days ago based on some reviews. It’s a scent that would now be categorized as old school or barber-shop style, but… for what is now called barber-shop scents (fresh, talcum-like, mentholated, soft), this perfume struggles to fit that style; it takes some laaaarge minutes after application to settle in. I honestly don’t think it smells good. I can’t believe I used this at 14; I remember it smelling much more citrusy. Maybe the reformulations weren’t kind to it. As I said before, to categorize it based on what it offers, it should go into the barber-shop, old school, vintage category… but its opening is completely aggressive, with a shrill, synthetic lemon, like a toilet disinfectant, and an explosive, almost astringent lavender. After about 20 minutes, it becomes more bearable; a calmer lavender appears, the lemon intensity drops, and it turns slightly woody, soft, and vanilla-like. Honestly, I don’t see it as a recommendable scent these days; there are more bearable and versatile old school options available in October 2022. Worth noting that as a cologne, the performance is very good (about 4 hours before I wanted to take it off), with moderate to high trail and projection during the first hour, then it drops significantly, but you can still feel it in bursts with movement; it doesn’t go unnoticed.

  • EVERYTHING HERE IS ABOUT THE REFRESHING COLOGNE VERSION: It’s the same fragrance I used a decade ago. It has a super lemony opening, like candy lemon, with some lavender and an aquatic touch. If it’s 35 degrees out, this refreshes your life. After 10 minutes, the heart notes kick in, becoming creamier and subtler—very noticeable but not aggressive, friendly, and pleasant to wear all day. Perfect for summer, extreme heat, the pool, day or night. It gives you a huge energy boost and has a big trail. It lasts over an hour with strong projection, then fades a bit after about 4 hours, leaving occasional bursts even in the wind. I bought it again for summer in my hot area, and it’s fantastic. I recommend it; it’s super cheap and feels like a gift. AND SPEAKING OF THE PERFUME: it’s sharp, vulgar, alcoholic, and retro; I prefer the cologne.

  • ALL THIS IS ABOUT THE REFRESHING COLONIA VERSION: It’s the same one I used 10 years ago. Super lemony opening, like candy lemon, with a bit of lavender and aquatic notes. If it’s 35 degrees out, wearing this refreshes your whole day. After 10 minutes, the heart kicks in, becoming creamier and subtler—noticeable but not aggressive, friendly and pleasant. Perfect for summer, extreme heat, the pool, day or night. It gives energy and has great sillage. It lasts about an hour making a statement, then fades, lingering in bursts for another 4 hours even in the wind. I bought it again for summer in my very hot area, and it’s fantastic. The price is incredibly low; it feels like a gift. AND ABOUT THE PERFUME ITSELF: sharp, vulgar, alcoholic, retro—I prefer the cologne.

  • The opening is totally citrusy with fresh marine notes; it reminds me of the sea and a blue sky. It’s true that it smells like a lemon room freshener. The first hour projects a lot, then it settles to sit right on the skin. I consider this an office fragrance: neat, clean, and straightforward. I wear it to work, apply it before leaving, and again when I return.

  • The opening is pure citrus with fresh marine notes that remind you of the sea and a blue sky. Yes, it smells a bit like lemon room freshener. During the first hour, it projects quite a bit, then the power drops and stays close to the skin. I consider it an office fragrance: neat, clean, and straightforward. Personally, I wear it to work, applying it before I leave and when I return.

  • Miguel Atenas S.

One of my favorites. At first, it smells strong, but the intensity drops within minutes and stops being overwhelming. Don’t overapply, or it becomes too much—I made that mistake once. I’d recommend this for adults over 30.

This perfume is one of my favorites. At first, the scent can be a bit strong, but after a few minutes, the intensity drops and it stops being so invasive. I don’t recommend over-applying it, or it can become too overpowering; I once made that mistake. I recommend it for adults over 30.

  • 2020?? This is a fragrance I used about 30 years ago when I was 10 or 12. I don’t remember the scent, but I’m going to buy it again.

  • javier cabeza de perfume

Rich but short-lasting fragrance. Citrus aroma (not listed, but I smelled it very strongly), fresh and ozonic, perfect for daily wear and mild heat, not too much since it has a warm touch. Lasts 5-6 hours on skin. Projection is quite good—not huge, but for the price, it’s great. Recommend for daily use or rotation; it lasts longer than Blue’s Jorge Di Profundo, it’s masculine and suitable for all ages.

  • I’m sure it’s a derivative or continuation of the Avon perfume called Emblem. Same blue color; I used it in 1988 at school in a spray. I should buy this cologne to see if it smells the same, although if I remember correctly, Emblem used anise.

  • A ‘old school’ blue fragrance. Very woody and potent (the kind that gives me a headache if you over-spray). It’s a pleasant scent for a serious man. Paradoxically, it’s my childhood scent; my mom used to put it on me for elementary school, so there’s nostalgia when I smell it. It’s recommended!

  • It’s a clone of the famous Versace Blue Jeans. It has that Coca-Cola scent right out of the bottle—citrus, fizzy, and soapy.

  • A blue-school fragrance, very woody and potent (it gives you a headache if you don’t warn people). It’s a pleasant scent for a serious man. Ironically, it’s my childhood perfume; my mom used to put it on me for elementary school, so there’s a lot of nostalgia when I smell it. Highly recommended!

  • A classic from the mid-20th century, nothing like the 2020 versions. Avon’s notes are something else entirely—cardamom and woods? 👀 It’s discontinued here; only leftover antiperspirant remains. I dug into this vintage and it smells like a baby or a garden kid, sweet and floral with a citrus twist, almost like an ironing spray. Other Avon vintages like Black Suede are imagined as intense, but this is the most harmless thing out there, nothing as powerful as Kouros.
