  It caught me by surprise. Delicious, a bit sweet but not cloying. It has the vibe of Versace Eros but without the green notes. It carries that typical tonka note found in many perfumes. What a pleasant surprise from a fragrance I didn’t expect anything from. The longevity and projection are average, with longevity standing out at around 8 hours on the skin and a projection of one to two hours. I recommend it.

  Why doesn’t Mandarina Duck have more fame? That’s the first thing I ask myself. They make beautiful, eco-friendly fragrances at a great price. The ‘Black & Red’ fits perfectly. It starts citrusy and sweet, then shifts to floral and wood with a touch of vanilla and a comforting, moist, earthy base. It smells on me just like Eros but more subtle. While Eros is overwhelming, this stands out (medium-heavy trail) without being as ‘tonk-heavy’. It’s a more elegant version than Versace. Perfect for work or hanging out with friends in small places. Works for any season or time of day; it’s very versatile. The performance is insane; on my skin, it lasts about 12 hours and projects well for the first 4-5. For the price, it’s a highly recommended blind buy for anyone who likes this style. I won’t say ‘I love it’ because it’s nothing new, but it’s a pleasant scent that brings joy. The only downside: it’s getting harder to find in perfumeries.

  I bought this blind and it was a huge hit. Smells very similar to Eros and lasts forever on the skin. If you want Eros but are scared of the price, this is the solution: re-contra is totally worth it.
