Bad Boy Elixir by Carolina Herrera

A blend of Victory Elixir and 1Million Royal with a mysterious touch and smoked spices. The leather note is different. If you already own those two, this is redundant. Performance is average, nothing beast-like, fades quickly on my skin.

I don’t know much about it, but even without the declared notes, it has all the DNA of the Bad Boy series. It smells like the Extreme but with leather. I’m fascinated by it; it feels gourmand due to those chocolate notes; I also sense vanilla, though I’m not sure if it’s my imagination. What stands out most is: leather, iris, chocolate, woods, and a bit of vanilla. At times it reminds me of Axe Dark-Temptation and Extinto Playboy VIP, but obviously better executed, higher quality, and more developed. It’s incredible for night or an intimate date, but no problem using it anytime; even though it’s gourmand, it’s not invasive or overly sweet. Excellent fragrance, highly recommended.

The best in the Bad Boy line, I was pleasantly surprised. I’m not a huge fan of the line and didn’t expect much, but I had to eat my words. The opening is very creamy leather, followed by spectacular chocolate, all balanced by background lavender. There’s also a light incense in the dry down that I love; it’s not heavy, it’s soft and adds darkness and depth that keeps me hooked. Cedar is present throughout and is a hit. As it dries, the Bad Boy DNA appears, which curiously reminds me of ‘Bad Boy Dazzling Garden’ but with non-animal, creamier, even edible leather, with cacao and subtle incense in the background. It’s not typical for the line, but it’s a hit. It’s complex: elegant and serious at first, but with a youthful touch due to the creaminess of the leather and the sweetness of the chocolate. As it dries, it takes a more youthful turn. I’d wear it someone aged 18 to 40. Don’t use it in enclosed spaces for long, it’s dense and can be invasive or annoying if you don’t like this type of perfume. Ideal for a winter walk or hanging out with friends. Scent: 9.5/10, Longevity: 9.5/10, Projection: 9.5/10.

This is my first review here and on any platform. Since I smelled it months ago, I fell in love. Today I finally bought it, and out of my 20+ perfumes, it easily enters the top 3; be careful, it doesn’t become a favorite as I use it this winter. To those who said it smells like Boss Bottled Absolu, go see an ENT. It’s an enveloping leather that embraces the wood and finishes with a slightly sweet base. A delight, a classy perfume. It does slightly remind me of Azzaro Forever Wanted Elixir, but that one feels very synthetic and lacks the magic this CH evokes. An absolute 10/10 for me.

I tried it in a perfumery a while back. It’s not my style; it reminded me a lot of Dior’s Fahrenheit. It has that super powerful leather opening that gives it a smell similar to diesel fuel. Minimum 10-hour longevity with beastly projection. Since I don’t like this type of scent, I can’t find a use case for it, but if I had to wear it, I’d definitely do it on a winter night.

The Bad Boy Elixir seems like a very good perfume, not one of my favorites but it’s very good. Regarding the notes, I think the website is wrong; I mainly smell leather and chocolate. I don’t detect cedar. I recommend it for ages 14 to 30. Delicious but I find it a bit cloying, I give it an 8.5/10.

It’s very similar to Boss Bottled Absolu, but with much more refined leather. The Absolu feels more resinous and deep, while this goes much more alpha. Great perfume either way. Leather that is by no means complicated and too pleasant.

Spectacular scent. I found it at a perfumery looking for something for winter daily office wear; they gave me a sample and I was instantly hooked. I came back soon to try it on my skin, and even though the saleswoman showed me other options, I was already in love with this bad boy elixir. It smells like leather from start to finish, with a touch of chocolate that makes it very wearable. Projection and longevity are excellent; it lasts days on clothes. Don’t buy blindly: it will turn heads, but it’s not for everyone.

Pff, ugly perfume. I’d read it was rich and different, and yes, it is, but it fades away with that very specific leather smell, like the Bad Boy Parfum which smells like green plant. This one smells like so much leather that for me and several others, it smells like rubber. It’s a very strong leather that ends up smelling like gum. Good for cold weather, but for me and others, it’s unbearable.

Indeed, I found the Guilty Absolute vibe but less rough, with that trendy sweet accord. You can also sense the sage touch. It seemed to perform quite well.

Stand up, gentlemen, what a marvel! It’s Gucci Guilty Absolute leather right in your face. Prominent notes of cocoa and hazelnuts, with a smoky toast touch. Fruits like orange and plum with cinnamon and suede, reminded me of Million Lucky. In the background, that similarity to Parfum, the soft sage green note and black pepper. Nothing weird or piercing, easy to wear. Not sophisticated elegance, but maturity, seriousness, and presence. Ideal for small spaces, stays close for many hours.

Smells like fuel, smoke, and used vehicle leather. The truth is, smelling like Shell isn’t pretty.

The person who says this is Le Beau or JPG Parfum needs to check their nose. It does have chocolatey notes, but it breaks the current sweet trend. That’s a relief because I’m already bored. I loved it: it’s a chocolate, not sweet, more like 80% cocoa, semi-bitter. A balanced leather, animalic, don’t buy blindly. I loved that in one of the dry-down steps it reminded me of my beloved Gucci Absolute.

I bought it despite my prejudices against this Carolina Herrera line. For me, Bad Boy was always the perfume for kids going to parties smelling like a candy factory, plus the bottle is ugly. But I tried this Elixir and liked it, even though my nose was already saturated. The incredible part is that when I got home, the scent was still there and I started to love it; it smells mature, with a soft, creamy leather and those elegant woods, so much so that I doubted if I had accidentally sprayed something else. The next day I saw a deal and confirmed it was this one. It’s a great perfume, ideal for leather lovers or for sampling, with brutal 8-hour longevity and notable projection. It doesn’t smell anything like Le Male Le Parfum or Le Beau, because here the sweetness is minimal, almost non-existent, without vanilla or tropical fruits.

I’ll be brief! It smells like mixing 80% Le Male Parfum with 20% Le Beau Parfum. It smells good, yes, but there are already alternatives with the same olfactory style.
