Smells like heaven, but the glass is very serious.
Smells like heaven, but the bottle is a bit small.
Great perfume, I think I can smell almost every note. It has that floral touch that vaguely reminds me of saliva, something also found in APOM and Aqua Vitae Forte, probably due to the ylang and orange blossom. The spices are a bit challenging for me, but if I let my imagination run, there seems to be a spicy undertone. The date is the star, and while sometimes it scares me that it might get cloying, here it’s very well blended. The gardenia comes through occasionally; it’s a tricky flower with that rich coconut-like scent. The jasmine joins the floral bouquet, appearing and disappearing. The incense and oud could provide a serious, dark counterpoint, but they always stay subtle. Over time, the sweet resins (myrrh, benzoin) emerge, and I even think there’s a hint of vanilla softness. There are also traces of patchouli, which isn’t my favorite note. The performance is excellent. In conclusion, it may or may not suit your taste, tire you out or not, but it’s very well made and high quality. It has that quality of smelling like a perfume with personality: it doesn’t smell like cookies, woods, pineapple, or leather… it smells like Arabian Nights, and that’s cool. The bottle is gorgeous.
Great perfume, I think I can pick up almost all the notes. It has that floral touch that reminds me of saliva, like in APOM or Aqua Vitae, likely due to the ylang and orange blossom. The spices are a bit tough for me, but with some imagination, I sense a spicy base. There are also traces of patchouli, my least favorite note. The performance is very good. It may please or not, tire you out or not, but it’s very well made and high quality.
