Descripción
Adventure Quasar by Jesus Del Pozo is an aromatic fougère fragrance for men. Launched in 1999, this composition was created by perfumer Pierre Wargnye. The olfactory pyramid opens with top notes of kumquat, yuzu, and woody nuances; the heart reveals a combination of gin, sage, geranium leaves, ginger, and lavender; and the base settles on fig leaves, oakmoss, cedar, and musk.

It starts with a distinct citrus, I think yuzu and kumquat. In the heart, I detect ginger and sage, with a base of subtle woods, cedar, and oakmoss. It reminded me of the tail of Ocean Pacific Juice, but less intense. To me, it’s fruits and woods, soft, similar to Bulgari’s Aqva Pour Homme Marine Tonic. Perfect for summer. Longevity and sillage are moderate. It’s for young people, but… this one is discontinued. I tried it with a miniature I found. It’s not bad, but it’s not special enough to make me too sad about its end.
Opening with a citrus different from the usual, I suppose yuzu and kumquat. In the middle notes, I perceived ginger and sage. In the base, the woody notes appear, with very subtle cedar and oakmoss. It reminded me somewhat of the tail of Ocean Pacific Juice, but less intense. So for me, it’s fruits and woods, in a soft style, more similar to Bulgari’s Aqva Pour Homme Marine Tonic. Another perfume for summer. Longevity and sillage are moderate. It’s a perfume for young people, but… this one is definitely discontinued. I was able to try it thanks to a miniature I found. It’s not a bad perfume, but I don’t find it special enough to lament its discontinuation too much.
Has it been discontinued? I saw it in a perfumery just two weeks ago and felt terrible not being able to smell it; I’ll have to go back. Plus, the bottle is awesome—it looks like the Iron Man logo on the chest.
My mom gifted me this gem she found at a duty-free store. I loved it from the start: it opens with a potent yuzu, followed by a fresh fruity note, herbal with gin (one of my favorite drinks), and ginger. It’s ideal for spring when the sun comes out. The sillage is moderate and the longevity is very good. Too bad it’s discontinued.
I’ve used it many times and always adored it for that perfect blend: the citrusy touch of the late 90s mixed with the classic wood and leather facets of men’s fragrances. Definitely recommended.
I grabbed it on the go and remember it as super citrusy and fresh, perfect for both summer and winter. I really loved it.
While organizing empty bottles, I noticed a little bit of liquid left in the Quasar Adventure bottle. Afraid it might be ruined by time, but driven by curiosity, I tilted it so the sprayer could catch it and pressed… And there it was! The whole magic intact, that wonderful fragrance (at least for me). It felt like traveling back in time to the summer of 1999 (Southern Hemisphere). That fresh, potent citrus burst. The florals, the woods, the ginger… Everything there to make me happy one last time. The quality, personality, and persistence of Quasar Adventure have no equal among Jesús Del Pozo’s creations. Unjustly discontinued.
While organizing my cabinet with empty bottles from my past fragrances, I noticed a little liquid left at the bottom of the Quasar Adventure bottle. Afraid it might be ruined by time, but driven by curiosity, I sprayed it… and there it was, all the magic intact of this (for me) wonderful fragrance. It was like stepping into a time machine and traveling back to the summer of ’99 (Southern Hemisphere). That citrus, fresh, and potent opening. The floral notes, the woods, the ginger… everything was there to make me happy one last time. The quality, personality, presence, and longevity of Quasar Adventure have no equal in the rest of Jesús Del Pozo’s creations. Unjustly discontinued.
Does it happen to you that, when trying a perfume and wanting to share it, you don’t know how to describe it or start the review? It happens to me, and Adventure Quasar is one of those cases. Sometimes it’s hard to review simple fragrances, and you have to think harder. It’s fresh, carefree, and I don’t know if citrus, gin, or clean florals dominate, always with that fig leaf background. I see it as green, forestal, herbal, and citrusy, with ozonic or aquatic waves. In the opening, there’s a mix of yuzu, ginger, gin, sage, and fig, with a fresh herbaceous touch like cilantro that fits perfectly. After an hour, it softens, leaving green and floral nuances, lasting about 5 hours until it fades to skin scent. The first time I thought it was spoiled by that murky green and salty initial note, but once I got used to it, everything clicked. It has that fresh character of the late 90s, typical of American houses. It’s very different from Quasar, more cheerful, fruity, and light. Stylistically, it’s for daily, informal, and urban use, designed for back then’s youth, but today it seems serious and unexpressive compared to current fresh scents, which are very hygienic and conquest-oriented. It’s interesting, unpretentious, rare, striking, and unique. The bottle and presentation are beautiful, worthy of collection. Rating: 8/10
Have you ever wanted to review a perfume but didn’t know where to start? That’s exactly how I felt about Adventure Quasar. Sometimes it’s harder to review simple scents because you have to really dig into the nuances. It’s a fresh, carefree creation where I can’t quite tell if citrus, gin, or clean florals take the lead, all set against a fig leaf backdrop. I perceive it as a green, slightly forestal, herbal, and citrusy aroma with some ozony or aquatic waves. The opening feels like a maceration of its most distinctive notes (yuzu, ginger, gin, sage, and fig leaf), with a fresh cilantro-like herbaceous touch that blends well. After an hour, the scent softens, keeping the green and floral nuances for about five hours before fading to skin scent. When I first tried it, I liked it and it didn’t seem common, but I thought it was ruined by a murky, salty green accord in the first hour. However, my perception corrected itself once I got used to it. It’s fresh, very much like mid-90s fragrances, especially from American houses. It’s quite different from the original Quasar, which I consider more cheerful, fruity, and light. Stylistically, it’s a daily, informal, urban scent framed by the youthfulness of its era, but today it seems serious and less expressive compared to current freshies, which are very hygienic and designed to conquer. It’s interesting, unpretentious, and slightly rare; not spectacular, yet striking and unique. The bottle and presentation are beautiful and worthy of collection. Rating: 8/10
