A fragrance with an unparalleled smell I’ve never experienced before. I’m not an expert, but it gives off a mysterious, elegant, and mystical vibe; it smells like a herbalist’s consultation. The blend of medicinal herbs with tobacco and cigarette smoke transports me back to my childhood at funerals where a shaman smoked more than a Chinese person. Obviously, those notes evoke that memory. Beyond that, the presentation is eye-catching, and the legend of it being a magic potion adds all the right context. To wear it, you need personality and shouldn’t fear that some won’t like it. So far, I haven’t received compliments, though I’ve worn it three times since buying it on Monday. It’s not for everyone, so test before buying. In summary: Scent: 8/10. Longevity: 9/10 (over 10 hours). Sillage: 6.5/10 (sparse, but in bursts at times). Projection: 7/10 (first hour reaches an arm, then skin-close with occasional bursts). Packaging: 10/10.

It’s a unique scent I’ve never experienced in another perfume. I’m not an expert, but it gives off a mysterious, elegant, and mystical vibe; it smells like a herbalist’s apothecary. Beyond that, the packaging is striking, and the legend that it’s a magic potion adds all the right context. To wear it, you need personality and shouldn’t fear that some people won’t like it. • ADEEB LATTAFA PERFUMES: A pure vintage scent with a mature, distinguished character that evokes the golden age of people in their 60s and beyond. Refined, elegant, and dripping with the glamour of dressing up for galas every day. Definitely not for the young or meant to follow current trends; it’s a mature fragrance that competes with great classics like Rochas Monsieur, Aramis, or Kouros from the 70s and 80s. The smell is excellent, though frankly, I find it outdated for anyone under 50. Performance is solid, and the packaging is creative—it feels like a treasure Indiana Jones stumbled upon. Perfectly unisex. Scent: 9.0. Projection: moderate. Longevity: 6 to 8 hours. Recommended if you love vintage aromas.

  • Totally vintage fragrance with an adult, very distinguished vibe that recalls the wonderful days of people in their 60s and beyond. It’s refined, elegant, and carries that glamour of dressing up for formal occasions every day. Definitely not for young people or trend-followers; it’s a mature scent that competes with great classics like Rochas Monsieur, Aramis, or Kouros from the 70s and 80s. As a scent, it’s excellent, but honestly, I find it outdated for anyone under 50. Performance is decent, and the packaging is creative, looking like a treasure Indiana Jones might have stumbled upon. Perfectly unisex. Scent: 9.0. Projection: moderate. Longevity: 6 to 8 hours. Recommended if you love vintage aromas.

  • If you love fougères, this is the masculine fragrance for you: elegant, with incredible longevity and sillage.

  • With an inexperienced nose but with references, the first test reminded me of the musks my grandfather used to wear from Avon, a familiar scent that transforms into something unexpected as it dries. Over the days, I grew to like it and felt a green note that made me think of Green Irish Tweed, but darker and more mysterious; that’s the heart of the perfume, with tobacco at the end. At first, it seems made for someone adult, but as it dries, it gives mystery and confidence, ideal for a young person who wants to smell different. It’s one of the longest-lasting: 3 hours radiating and more than 12 on skin. Cheers.

In its spicy evolution, it recalls Desert Air and vibrates with 80s and 90s vibes—very fougère, though technically a spiced chypre with patchouli and woods. It’s totally different from the house’s Arabic style; here you get a virile, intense aroma with fantastic performance in longevity and projection, ideal for those seeking powerful, masculine perfumes. The price-to-performance ratio is unmatched, niche-style (the bottle costs $80 but is worth every cent). Without hesitation, it’s one of the house’s top picks, alongside Oud for Glory, Raghba Wood Intense, and other classics I know better than their newer Lattafa launches. With Adeeb, you won’t miss the powerful men’s scents of decades past; it’s not an old fragrance, just vintage in strength and intensity. It’s for mature men or younger ones who crave intense perfumes as a trend and acquired taste. Try it, don’t miss out. Cheers.

  • With an inexperienced nose but many references, the first test reminded me of Avon musks my grandfather used, a familiar scent that transforms into something unexpected as it dries down. After a few days of testing, I started to grow fond of it; I began sensing a green note reminiscent of Green Irish Tweed, but darker and more mysterious, which is what stands out most in the heart, with tobacco in the dry down. It’s a perfume that seems adult-oriented at first but dries down to a touch of mystery and confidence, ideal for someone who knows what they want. I’d recommend it to a young person who wants to smell different. It’s one of the longest-lasting I’ve tried: 3 hours projected and over 12 on skin. Cheers.

In the spicy notes, it sometimes reminds me of Air du Desert, then others from the eighties and nineties, especially of the fougère vibe, though here it’s more of a spicy chypre: patchouli and woods. It moves totally away from the Arab vibe, the house’s specialty, and brings us a virile and intense aroma with fantastic performance in longevity and projection (for those seeking intense perfumery and a macho personality). The price, for the aroma and performance within a book, is unique, niche-style (the bottle is 80k but it’s enough and more than enough). Without fear, it’s one of the house’s top picks, alongside Oud for Glory, Raghba Wood Intense, and others (I know the old ones better than the army of new Lattafa releases). With Adeeb, you don’t miss the powerful launches from past decades. It’s not an old scent; it just has a vintage feel due to its strength and intensity. It’s for mature men or young people looking for intense perfumery as a trend. Try it, don’t miss out. Cheers.

  • Definitely for a classic, strong, and overpowering style. Not for everyone. Ideal for cold climates and open spaces; in heat, it’s a mistake. Works perfectly as a room fragrance to mask odors. It’s for those over 40. It delivers on its promises. Sometimes it gives off a blast of a lady’s vintage aroma, strong and matriarchal; other times it takes you to a serious, grumpy but fun grandfather who laughs and plays tricks with his grandchildren (those cool grandpas who have to put a face to strangers). Use it only for special occasions, not daily, because you’ll get tired of it quickly.

  • Definitely old-school style: strong and overwhelming very quickly. Not for everyone; it’s best for cold climates and open spaces. A mistake in hot weather. It’s the kind of scent you could use as a room freshener to cover any odor (if that’s your goal). Definitely for men over 40; it delivers on all its notes. At times, it gives off a vibe like a strong, matriarchal lady from the past; at others, it feels like a serious, grumpy grandfather—the kind you turn around to see laughing with you, pulling pranks with the grandkids (those cool grandpas who have to put up with strangers). If it’s the type of scent you’d only wear for special occasions, it’s not for daily use because you’ll get tired of it very soon.
