As I read, Acqua di Iris would be a lighter version of Zegna’s Private Collection Florentine Iris, just as Acqua di Bergamoto was to Italian Bergamot. I’m not sure if that’s true since I haven’t tried the Private Collection, but it is definitely a fresh floral citrus scent—very elegant and lovely. It opens with iris flower and violet leaves, with a brief ozonic and herbal touch. Then it becomes more citrusy and musky, which is unusual since citrus notes usually evaporate quickly. After that, it stays fairly consistent and lasts about 8 hours, enough for work. I think it’s ideal for daytime wear in spring or summer, in the style of Prada Infusions. It smells great, though it might be priced a bit high. At least, I recommend giving it a try.
