This is the first time I’ve ever gotten emotionally excited about a perfume; I enjoy it a ton. It smells ancient, ghostly, very melancholic, damp, and cold. It brings to mind perfumes from the past, an attic full of memories, or an antique shop. The mint lightens it up a bit, making it sweeter, younger, and livelier. In the end, it becomes sweeter and creamier, and at some point I think of a closed old church. Everything is very soft and refined. Maybe because I know what it’s about, I imagine a winter night march, sad and blurred in memory. I wear it at home to read or watch a movie, to enjoy it and get into a very particular mood. It’s not intense but lasts a long time; though over time it’s almost imperceptible, it’s still there.

New Wave is an absolute monster from this brand, perfectly uniting mint and iris to create a fresh scent with real body. It starts super bright with a softened iris base that later turns more woody (reminds me of Atelier Materi’s Iris Ebené). The mint accompanies the entire evolution, giving a super pleasant aroma. The fact that Ropion created it guarantees it’s well-constructed. It looks very original and I think it’s one of the best from this brand, which is still little-known but deserves more fame. Average performance, super versatile, and unisex. I love it. Rating: 9.5/10
