Almost Transparent Blue is exactly what you wouldn’t expect from such a flashy name; it has nothing to do with what you imagine. It’s not bad, but it stays generic, so I had to lower my expectations. Still, it’s well-executed and sparks a lot of curiosity at first, with a blend that smelled camphoraceous, featuring conifer woods and citrus. The initial sensation was strange but interesting. I sat and waited a while to see how it evolved on my wrist, and then I got it: it’s aldehydes. It’s a curious scent, with a slightly dissonant opening that wins you over, maintaining that character through almost the entire dry-down. I’d define it as a fun project: a fairly common smell but well done.
