Roses and geranium are the undisputed stars, very prominent at first but then you have to hunt for them, backed by an amber base that gives it character. It’s almost a clone of Chanel’s Egoïste, and after trying both, I stuck with Chanel due to the price, since owning two is redundant given how similar they are. It’s an easy-to-wear, unisex fragrance with obvious quality. The brand offers small sizes for testing, so I encourage you to try them. The best sandalwood I’ve heard is Santal from this same house. Also, Jardin du Nil reminds me quite a bit of Lush’s Rose Jam and sometimes Portrait of a Lady by F.M., though it’s less dense and potent.
