I was hoping to repeat the Chocolat experience, but this bourbon vanilla is a complete failure. It lacks all the body, wood, and caramel nuances that define the genre, smelling instead of cheap synthetic vanilla. The main note is so light and powdery from the musk that it feels like ethyl vanillin, even though the latter smells better. The florals last only two seconds. To smell soft vanilla that isn’t gourmand, spending €100 is ridiculous and boring. Rating: 3
