It reminds me of Midnight Oud thirty minutes in, due to its mysterious, smoky, and oriental rose, though it’s more chypre and green. Again, an exuberant rose typical of the house, straddling the line between synthetic and natural, the groundbreaking and the traditional, the ‘mad’ and the ‘madame.’ I find it wild, metallic, and animalic, yet sweet, pure, and fresh, perhaps due to memories of roses in my childhood gardens. A complex and intense creation that shines for its apparent simplicity. Although the catalog might not have much variety (though lately they seem to be moving away from rose-centered scents), Juliette Has A Gun becomes one of my favorite houses. Bravo, Romano Ricci!
Madame is an intense blend, as Maeva says, ‘between synthetic and natural.’ It smells of rose, moss, and something animal, a mix of castoreum and musk. It has a monstrous sillage and high longevity. I imagine it on women with character, wearing leather jackets, boots, and jeans, with a hidden tattoo and a nose piercing. Perfect for cold weather and informal evening wear. Be careful with application—just a couple of sprays, or you’ll smell like Pepe Le Puff.
I love it; it takes me back to the 80s, probably because it resembles Paloma Picasso and Animale. On me, the longevity and projection are excellent.
According to the store, all fragrances from this house contain pheromones. It feels like a perfume full of affair, almost aphrodisiac. Although it sounds strange, it evokes something sexual; it’s marine but sweet with salty and metallic tones. In short, a very peculiar fragrance.
Very rich, with acidic and creamy roses, but on my skin it lasts a mere whisper and has zero projection. I recommend trying it before buying because it’s not a simple scent.
It smells great with those tart rose notes and a creamy finish, but on my skin it barely lasts a breath and has zero projection. It’s not a simple scent, so I’d recommend testing it before buying.
A mix of rose and oud that smells good, slightly acidic and soapy, with a retro vibe. It’s not my thing. On my skin, it lasts until I shower and projects moderately.
A mix of rose and oud that works well—slightly tart and soapy with a vintage vibe. It’s not really my style, but on my skin it lasts until I shower and projects moderately.
It’s a dream. I can’t distinguish notes, but it smells like the Middle East, like a precious incense. Over time it dries down to a clean scent, like straight out of the shower. It lasts 8-9 hours on my skin and projects only to me.
I really love the fragrance itself, but I’m not a fan of the bottle since it’s hard to tell how much is left. Otherwise, it smells like burnt wood and is very potent; I’d buy it again without hesitation.
