It’s deep and highlights that Santal 33-style sandalwood, even though it’s mid-range quality. The cypress is noticeable at first but very subtle. Once it dries down, the blend of palo santo and sandalwood turns darkly delicious and delicate. It doesn’t smell like snake skin or mandrill at all; quite the opposite. It’s great if you like deep woods and it lasts quite well on the skin.
This is the third Bois series perfume I’ve bought. I love its woody scent, a bit oily, and of course the palo santo. I like it because I usually burn palo santo, and it really smells like that, just not burned. However, this series isn’t strong in performance, so the scent stays right on the skin, but I still like it.
