What really stands out is the geranium—it’s top quality, nothing minty like Layton, but a pure geranium flower. Cardamomo sits in the background, then lavender and cedar come through. Perfect for everyday wear; I’ll let it macerate for a few weeks to boost longevity and projection.
I picked up this Sablo on a resale app without knowing the brand, drawn in by the notes and the great price (20€). Blind buys always carry some risk, especially when you’re not risking much money. After buying, I did some research and found out Lophiel is a Swedish niche brand launched in 2022 by a Swedish-Iranian, and Sablo retails for 177€ on their site. That didn’t sound right—nobody sells hard currency at four pennies, and those apps are full of Aventus clones for 60€ 😅. But today it arrived, and I’m blown away. This Sablo smells very similar to Poker Face by Ted Lapidus, or almost identical to YSL’s Nuit de L’homme, with comparable performance (5-6 hours), and I think it’ll shine even more once it settles and oxidizes a bit. It’s made in a lab in a small town in Toledo. Curious, does anyone know anything about Lophiel? P.S.: Updated to say that after a few days of resting, a soft suede note emerged, making it really interesting since it’s not part of the DNA of the other two references, and it suits it perfectly.

I grabbed this Sablo by Lophiel on a second-hand app for 20€ without knowing anything about the brand, just based on the notes and price. After digging, I discovered it’s a new Swedish niche house (2022) and costs 177€ on their official site, so I realized it was probably a discounted Aventus or similar clone. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised: it smells almost exactly like Ted Lapidus’s Poker Face or YSL’s Nuit de L’homme, with a performance of 5-6 hours. It’s crafted in a lab in Toledo. For now, it needs to oxidize a bit, but I’ve already noticed that after a few days a soft suede note has emerged, which fits it perfectly and adds an interesting touch that the original references lacked.
