Ambered sandalwood, soft and clean. Less intense than Santal 33, perfect for hot weather or moments when you don’t want to be overpowering. It’s pleasant and easy to wear, but hard to justify the price since it doesn’t surprise or stand out.
None of Byredo’s fragrances have ever excited me. I don’t get the hype, the price, or anything else. Desert Dawn smells synthetic and linear, just like Zara Home. I only detect a very faint vetiver; the rest is a rough, indistinguishable blend.
A special and complex fragrance, not for everyone, with a high cost and an uncommon vibe. It’s clean, white, and pure. It has no projection or sillage, but lasts long on the skin due to its oily nature. Very subtle notes of rose and wood. It’s best for close-range wear, so people don’t have to lean in and smell you three times without getting tired. Subtle and refined, just like the video that described it. If you love perfumes, it’s worth it. Now I understand why. A masterpiece. I found out about it thanks to a friend who recommended it to me and almost gifted it to me.
