Descripción
Cristal Zest by Massimo Dutti is an olfactive fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2022, this composition features the olfactory signature of Nathalie Lorson. The top notes of bitter orange, mandarin, and blackcurrant offer a citrusy and fruity opening. The heart reveals a harmony between Earl Grey tea, mandarin, petit grain, and basil, bringing freshness and herbaceous complexity. The base settles on oakmoss, patchouli, and amber, closing the structure with woody and warm nuances.

Tested in-store, directly on hand and clothes, sampling with tweezers. The label reads: bitter orange, mandarin, crème de cassis (black currant liqueur), green basil, petit grain, Earl Grey tea, dry amber, patchouli, and oakmoss. At first, it smells of sharp citrus, like Dior Homme Cologne or Adolfo Domínguez’s Citrus Cedro, with that citrusy and musky nuance. Then, an hour later, it shifts to Earl Grey tea and a ripe, dry orange, very similar to Natalie Lorsson’s Bentley Infinite. I like it, although the initial intensity fades quickly. It’s fresh and summery at first. These are just first impressions.
Tested in-store in Palma, on clothes, using tweezers to sample the notes. The label lists: bitter orange, mandarin, crème de cassis, petit grain, basil, bergamot, Earl Grey tea, dry amber, patchouli, and oakmoss. At first, it smells of sharp citrus like Dior Homme Cologne or Adolfo Domínguez’s Citrus Cedro, with that characteristic musky touch. An hour later, the scent shifts to Earl Grey tea and a ripe, dry orange, very similar to Natalie Lorsson’s own Bentley Infinite. I like the fragrance, though the initial intensity drops significantly over time. It’s refreshing and summery at first, but those are just first impressions.
Natalie Lorson never misses, and this is undoubtedly her freshest creation under 100 euros. It kicks off with a juicy citrus burst of bitter orange, mandarin, and black currant, which then fades into herbal notes. The heart of Earl Grey tea, petit grain, and basil adds a refined, slightly spicy touch, while the green-mossy base of patchouli, oakmoss, and amber provides depth. Though the base is subtle, it’s that blend of tea, citrus, and currant that defines the scent. It has good longevity for a citrus fragrance, better than average, and while the projection is contained from the start, it lingers strongly on clothes. It’s an elegant, pleasant scent perfect for summer or work, even as a signature. It outperforms my previous favorite, Dior Homme Cologne, in both performance and freshness, feeling original despite some resemblance to Armani’s Thé Yulong or Miller Harris’s Tea Tonique. A delightful surprise from the first sniff: citrusy, green, and sophisticated for hot days.
Created by Natalie Lorson, who never fails. This is undoubtedly the one I’ve liked most from the brand and the best fresh scent under 100 euros I’ve tried. It opens with a juicy freshness of bitter orange, mandarin, and black currant; that citrus quickly transitions to herbal notes. The heart of Earl Grey tea (with bergamot), petit grain, and basil gives it a refined, aromatic, and slightly spicy vibe, while the green-mossy base of patchouli, oakmoss, and amber adds depth. Although the base doesn’t dominate, it’s the tea note, mixed with citrus and currant, that gives it its signature. It has good longevity for a citrus, better than average, and while the projection is contained, it sticks strongly to clothes. It’s subtle, elegant, and pleasant. Beyond being refreshing and ideal for summer, it works for work or as a signature. The best part is the scent itself: it outperforms Dior Homme Cologne in performance and doesn’t smell generic, making it original. It seems similar to Armani’s Thé Yulong or Miller Harris’s Tea Tonique, though I haven’t tried those. It was a pleasant surprise for being so agreeable and different. In short: citrusy, fresh, green, and elegant, based on Earl Grey tea with citrus and currant. Perfect for hot days if you’re looking for something refined, sophisticated, and distinct, or a controlled fresh scent for work.
