Mineral Grey by Massimo Dutti is a citrus, spicy, and ozonic fragrance. The opening features citrus notes blended with spices like cardamom, along with violet leaves that become more prominent over time. As it evolves, woody notes of cedar and a touch of musk emerge, carrying it through to the dry down. It’s a pleasant scent for spring, summer, and early autumn, thanks to its fresh and spicy elements, making it ideal for daytime wear. Perfect for school, casual outings, hanging out with friends, or office work. Longevity is a bit short; on me, it lasted about 5 hours, with a noticeable trail for the first hour before fading to skin scent. If you can get it at an affordable price, it’s a great option for daily wear in warm months, as the aroma is very enjoyable.

Starts with a sparkling citrus note and a hint of nutmeg. Then the pepper kicks in full force, ending with a very aromatic, earthy vibe—like vetiver, even though it doesn’t seem to have it. If you spray it well, it lasts 10-12 hours, but be careful not to overdo it or you’ll suffocate. On fast skin, it lasts about 6 hours, but spraying it on clothes extends the wear significantly. It’s a unique scent—not elegant, not for parties, not for extreme heat or cold… I see it as ideal for daily wear and those in-between temperatures. You’ll smell different from everyone else and it surely won’t bother anyone. For the price, it’s a resounding yes.

A bright, sparkling, and spicy opening driven by nutmeg. In the heart, black pepper really shines through, and the dry down is aromatic and earthy—reminiscent of vetiver, though I don’t think it actually contains vetiver. It projects well if you spray it properly (10-12 sprays), but don’t overdo it or it can become overwhelming. On easy-to-spray skin, it lasts about 6 hours, and a little on clothes adds a few more. It’s a different kind of perfume: not elegant, not party-ready, not for extreme heat or cold. I see it as a daily driver for mild weather; you’ll smell different from the crowd without annoying anyone. For the price, it’s an absolute yes.

Mineral Grey: Citrus and spicy opening with nutmeg. Mid-stage: Bergamot stays present while cardamom joins in, accompanied by soft violet leaves. Dry down: Bergamot, cardamom, and cedar take the lead. Projection and longevity: Projection lasts about 2-3 hours, with a total longevity around 5 hours. Verdict: Citrus, aromatic, and woody, dominated by bergamot, cedar, and cardamom. Better suited for cool rather than warm climates. I can’t compare it to Gucci Homme II since I never got to try it, but it’s a good fragrance, even if the performance-to-price ratio feels a bit steep.

Mineral Grey: Citrus and spicy opening with nutmeg. Middle: Bergamota stays present while cardamom joins in along with soft violet leaves. Final drydown: Bergamot, cardamom, and cedar take the lead. Projection and Longevity: Projection lasts about 2-3 hours, with overall longevity around 5 hours. Conclusion: Citrus, aromatic, and woody. Bergamot, cedar, and cardamom dominate. It’s better suited for cold rather than warm weather. I can’t compare it to Gucci Homme II since I’ve never had the chance to try it, but it’s a good fragrance, though a bit pricey for its performance.

I just finished my last bottle of Gucci Homme II, and honestly, I’m not paying the ridiculous prices for the 50ml or 100ml versions these days for a scent that used to go for around 60 euros. If you’re looking for something very similar at a reasonable price, Mineral Grey is the best option I know. I’ve read complaints about terrible performance, but to be fair, the Gucci wasn’t exactly a beast mode either! It was addictive, though. In my opinion, Massimo Dutti is right in line with most designer fragrances today. One thing is true: if I spray too much, it causes temporary anosmia for me, but with just three or four sprays, I get nice bursts for a few hours without any issues. To sum it up, this is the closest thing I’ve tried that reminds me of Gucci Homme II. I’ll probably grab another bottle in case prices spike in the future 😜.

This scent lasts exactly as long as it takes you to read this sentence. Unbelievable for the price. No fragrance this fleeting, I repeat, no fragrance, justifies such a poor longevity-to-cost ratio. N O N E. That’s enough with these perfume jokes fueled by ‘brutal’ reviews that tell you to spray it on your clothes if it doesn’t last on your skin, or that it doesn’t matter if it fades quickly. NO MORE.

An aroma that lasts exactly as long as it takes to read this sentence. Unthinkable given the price. No fragrance this ephemeral, I repeat, no fragrance, justifies this longevity-to-cost ratio. N O N E. That’s enough with these perfumery jokes fueled by ‘brutal’ reviews that encourage you to spray it on your clothes if it doesn’t last on your skin and tell you that even if it’s short-lived, it doesn’t matter. NO.

I detect a dry-down reminiscent of Montblanc Starwalker, something not mentioned here, because Starwalker smells very synthetic, almost like insecticide. I think it’s a very pleasant scent, citrusy and slightly spicy; it wouldn’t fail at a gathering. It’s for fun-loving people. I give it an 8 because I’d like it to stand out more. It’s sharp but not overwhelming. It could easily be a signature scent.

Sorry about the drydown on Montblanc Starwalker; something not mentioned here. It’s not the same because Starwalker smells very synthetic, almost like insecticide. I think it’s a very pleasant scent overall. Citrusy and slightly spicy, it wouldn’t fail at a meeting. It’s for fun people. I’m giving it an 8 because I wish it projected more. It’s sharp but not overwhelming. Could easily be a signature scent.

Delicious, masculine, clean, and woody aroma with elegance. The only downside is that the longevity is terrible; it doesn’t last me more than two hours.

Delicious aroma, masculine, clean, and elegant woody. The longevity is extremely poor. It doesn’t last more than 2 hours on me.

The perfume really smells like Gucci Pour Homme II. That’s the good part. The bad part, as usual, is its performance. It lasts 2 hours, maybe 2 and a half at most on skin. I hope it’s because I rushed buying it in the store and the performance improves with time. At least 4-5 hours. If the performance doesn’t improve, I wouldn’t recommend it.
