Baiser Vole by Cartier

I bought this blind, super excited because I’d loved Cartier Carat before without even knowing it… But this one, rich as it is, hasn’t won me over. It reminds me of that cheap Flor do Luar by Natura I owned and gave away because I was overwhelmed by its sweet, dark, and creamy scent. Over time it becomes nicer and more floral, but the opening is almost unbearable. I already have it and will use it, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Fresh, creamy, green, white floral—it’s a sophisticated combination that ultimately offers all these notes with a very refined and subtle sweetness. I really love it; I think this is how a woman full of glamour and success should smell.

Wow with this Baiser Vole! A few days ago I was testing some Cartier fragrances, mostly to avoid the Christmas hustle rather than looking for something to buy, when suddenly I felt the nearby air flooded with a magnificent fresh lily aroma. It was so suggestive that it forced me to turn around in search of it, and certainly I found it in the hands of a saleswoman showing it to some ladies at that moment. They all stared at me, more surprised by my reaction than by the product itself. There were laughs and a gesture from the saleslady, still holding the bottle, implying the fragrance was worth it if it could get reactions like mine. I had to apologize, smile, say something kind, and wait for the sale before I could test the fragrance. It has resulted in an elegant, fresh, gentle, cheerful, and calm aroma, but not lacking a sensual aspect that must be sought within simplicity. The opening can be a bit dominant regarding the floral aspect, but almost immediately the citrus note gains enough space to put things in their place. I find Baiser Vole to be eminently spring-like, daytime, and so feminine that it’s captivating. I think it’s great for young people, cheerful people, and for those who wish to generate optimistic and pleasant moments with a touch of prestige. Projection and longevity are correct, although personally I would wish they were greater. I highly recommend it.

I’ve been using this Eau de Parfum Baiser Volé for 5 years, after they discontinued Un Amour de Patou and See By Chloe. It’s hard for me to find fragrances that don’t give me nausea, and this is one of the few. I love it; it’s a spring-like and clean scent, with a floral and powdery base but a fresh opening. Hopefully they don’t discontinue it, because I bought the Parfum and it’s horrendous! Too powdery, sweet, and cloying; it smells like an old lady’s closet, terrible.

Stately, subtle, and elegant. I would recommend it for daily use by those who can afford it. Skin-scent, refined, and feminine. Suitable for any age in a woman of good taste. It’s fine, soft, and harmonious.

Simple yet far from boring: lily of the valley, citrus, and green notes. Stolen Kiss is tenderness, discretion, and elegance. Upon application, the lily of the valley dominates with a very distinguished floral touch and green hints. Although it’s the star, it evolves; sometimes it smells sweet, other times you catch the fresh, aquatic stem like morning dew. The trail is moderate but enveloping, lasting 5-6 hours. Versatile, I wear it all year round.

Delicate and soft.

Baisier has a super beautiful opening that thrilled me. I felt it very green and fresh, with density, but then it became more conventional: a clean, refined, and melancholically monotonous scent, with a simple and pleasant beauty. The lily of the valley lies dormant beside soft, elegant barber shop peppercorns. Memories of lotions and foams from decades past, with an unusual calm.

Another Cartier gem. A complex velvet floral with grass notes that, as it settles, creates an elegant thread of diverse layers. It has a powdery and herbal touch where the lily defines the scent. The sweet nectar of the lily is balanced by the grass, giving it a unique signature and character. It doesn’t roar or last as long as Panthère; it’s ‘antifragile’—something that only becomes more beautiful and stronger with time.

I love white flowers and didn’t have any where the lily shined until this Cartier creation. It’s a delight, a creamy and strong flower, subtly adorned to reinforce its protagonist. For sensitive noses or warm climates, it can be intense since the lily has a notable presence, similar to neroli and mimosa. If you like florals, go for it. A year and a half later, I got tired of its floral intensity; perhaps because I wore it in summer and spring, where the lily dominance led to boredom. Tip: prioritize cold or very fresh days.

I mentioned it before, but today I’m absolutely jumping for joy: my best friend, on vacation in Mexico from Switzerland, brought it for me and made me the happiest person. It’s a delicious fragrance, a softened version of L’Instant by Guerlain, yet so similar that they are two scents I adore. Now I’m waiting for a special occasion to debut this treasure. What happiness it is to feel like you’ve been gifted a great book when you have a reading addiction, and an exquisite perfume.

A Cartier sales associate described this perfume so well: they used the freshest possible flowers to preserve that green note, which is lost if the flowers mature on the plant. Few notes, but a perfect scent. It has nothing to do with L’Instant by Guerlain, which features honey, vanilla, amber, and many spectacular sweet touches, but in a way that never achieves the fresh green of this one, without being citrusy. Baiser Vole is fantastic.

I received it through a swap, choosing it based on reviews on this site. Upon trying it, I thought I’d made a mistake… its opening hit me like a floral slap, transporting me to an overflowing flower shop or, worse, a cemetery. However, after trying it a few more times, it won me over. It seems extremely distinguished and elegant, a mature and complex floral with green facets, with a magnificent trail (projects quite a bit for the first 4-5 hours) and longevity on my skin of 10-12 hours. It confuses me that I sometimes perceive a salty note and other times a sweet hint, but it is eminently floral with an interesting development. Despite what other opinions say, it doesn’t seem soft to me at all; with just 4 sprays (inside wrists and sides of neck), I have enough. For me, it’s exclusive for spring; I see it as wonderful for daytime events, offering great presence, and you can tell it’s a high-quality fragrance. If you don’t like potent florals… run! Lovely perfume. It just ran out and I’m not going to repurchase; I used it for the office because it’s soft and not intrusive.

The day I bought La Panthere, I discovered Baiser Volé and wanted to know more about it. For a while, I read reviews and noticed people mention a lily scent when Cartier actually describes it as iris. Personally, it doesn’t matter to me because I love the perfume, and that’s enough. On my skin, in the first two hours, it smells like incense or a type of sandalwood that later transforms into one of the best creations I’ve ever tried. It’s the feeling of being surrounded by a warm, comforting aura. Intoxicating and distinguished. I find it quite feminine, for a confident and strong woman. It transports me to airports and arrivals in exotic, tropical countries. Those unforgettable scents that you want more of. Along with the bottle design, it feels like a jewel.
