  • Magnificent fusion from the house that conquers me. Delicious from start to finish. In my opinion, it’s an adult, sensual gourmand, very almond-sweet without crossing the line. Very wide trail and fabulous longevity. On my skin, drunken, caramelized spicy accords and that unique floral touch of heliotrope stand out. Wonderful, enveloping, and very attractive. The cocoa isn’t noticeable as such, but it adds its magic and exoticism. Nothing I own or have smelled before resembles it. No waste. Unisex. For cold or fresh seasons. This and Brocéliande from the same house are two magnificent olfactory jewels for lovers of sweet, spiced, and enveloping scents.

  • At first, I didn’t like it; on the nose, the opening smells like olive oil. But it passes quickly and smells of almond, cherry, liquor, and a hint of oud, becoming much more pleasant. The almond and cherry notes are effects of heliotrope, a curious flower that offers different aspects depending on how it’s handled. Besides the cherry note, it adds a talcy touch. You can also detect hints of spices and tobacco leaves. When it dries, it leaves a delicious base of vanilla and rum without losing the cherry. In the final phase, it reminds me of my favorite discontinued cherry scent, Modern Muse Le Rouge Gloss, which combines cherry, vanilla, and leather. Moderate-to-notable trail and lasts over 10h on skin. Sweet but dark, a perfect evening wear. However, without spending the decant to fall in love with it (which I don’t think will happen since I’ve used it many times without changes), I haven’t liked it enough to buy the full bottle. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 8/10, Value 5.5/10, Versatility 6/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy again? No.

  • This perfume is olfactory magic. At first, sweet cherry and almonds; surely it’s heliotrope, or maybe Sora Dora didn’t declare all the notes. This sweetness is neutralized by excellent quality leather that doesn’t dirty the scent, just darkens it and makes it provocative, especially with rum, cocoa, and fine woods. It’s not linear; the protagonist changes: sometimes cherry with vanilla, other times cherry and woods, other times talcy cherry and leather. I like it so much that I wish it were more potent and long-lasting; on skin it lasts 8h and much longer on clothes. Beautiful from the packaging to the aroma. Definitely unisex, spiced with a gourmand touch, but I don’t think it’s a safe blind buy. Fortunately for me, it is: I have to rotate it because I always end up reaching for it. Out of the 5 Brocéliande perfumes I’ve tried, this is my favorite, though second place goes to different perfumes: sometimes this one, sometimes my beloved Mandorle, sometimes Rouge Orchid (I only have a vial) or Kamel Oud.

  • Mandorle by Sora Dora is sweet and gourmand, opening with rum and alcohol sweetened by caramel and vanilla. Always accompanied by a fine, elegant suede that gives a leather touch. The fragrance changes constantly like a cycle: notes come out, hide, and return. The cocoa varies in intensity, adding spice and sweetness to make it more gourmand and attractive. Like the suede, there’s another intense, constant note: almond or cherry, probably due to benzaldehyde. The downside: irritation on the neck when spraying; intense burning. Possible allergen, but it’s an isolated case. In general: sweet, elegant, nocturnal, dense, and very attractive. Lasts 6-9h with moderate projection.

I was late to discovering this, but wow, what a perfume. Almond cherry, not overly sweet, vanilla-infused with a very present rum that sometimes reminds me of PDM’s Herod (if they’d added more fruit). It’s dense but has a talcy character from heliotrope. For me, the star alongside the cherry is the suede or leather: very noticeable and potent, even a bit dirty/animalic at first, then softens as it dries out, becoming creamy and sweet. 100% unisex, autumnal/winter, perfect for going out at night because it’s seductive. Lasts 8-10h on skin with wide projection for the first 3-4h. I won’t buy it for now because 1) I already have my favorite cherry scent, Rouge Smoking, and 2) I already have a sexy leather for going out, Absolute Aphrodisiac. But I’d love to own it and don’t rule it out for the future.

  • It’s a seductive, enveloping niche scent perfect for cold weather or special events. Smells of almond cherry and liquor with a touch of vanilla and a bit of talc, later joined by leather and cocoa that darken it. Very sexy and unisex with great projection, though it is pricey (even as an EDP, not Extrait). Sora Dora is expensive, but their proposal is interesting and high quality. P.S.: It has a vibe similar to Sugar Leather; if you compare them dry, you’ll know what I mean.
