I bought the Absolut Leather based on the reviews and it smells great. It’s a slightly synthetic leather, but it doesn’t feel as hard as in other perfumes; it feels GREAT. The star wood and citrus notes are there throughout the development while that clean and fresh touch settles in. It’s a characterful scent, catalog quality, and not generic. Excellent value for the price, under 300 pesos or $14.

It has a citrus opening, but from start to finish, you get a delicious burst of leather. A bit synthetic, sure, but honestly, the quality is excellent. I love it.

To wrap up, Absolute Leather by Jafra is simple and synthetic, like the rest of the brand, but it’s one of the best from the line. It’s a mid-range Tom Ford-style leather with a citrus opening, spicy nuances (I didn’t detect cardamom in the Mexican version), jasmine, woods, and an amber base. It reminds me of Ombré Leather by Tom Ford but much simpler. The leather smells like a brand new, fine, tanned sheepskin jacket, slightly oiled—nothing like suede or Russian leather. It’s good for beginners, but if you own Bentley, Givenchy, Ferragamo Intense Leather, Polo Green, Bel Ami, Gucci Guilty, or Salvador Dalí, this one is overkill and gets relegated. If you’re looking for a Tom Ford-style leather that’s wearable and you can handle the simplicity, it’s worth it. If you have better options, I don’t recommend it much. Blessings.

I absolutely love the leather; I can even detect those sharp animal notes. It lasted over 10 hours with decent projection. For a catalog item at a low price, the quality is brutal.

Absolute Leather is one of those fragrances that has it all: price, scent, longevity, and compliments. Although leather usually sounds like a rugged occasion, here it’s versatile, creamy, and charming. It’s quite linear, but that lineality is exquisite; it will bring you many compliments and I see it as unisex. The longevity is good, about 6 hours on skin, but for the price, you can be generous with the sprayer. Scent 8, Longevity 7, Projection 6, Price 10. In conclusion, keep it in your collection, highly recommended!

I love the little bottle; its angular shapes and the cap that emulates leather are great. If you have this and don’t love this DNA, don’t spend your money on D&G The One EDP. Broadly, it smells the same; people don’t notice the difference; the cardamom is worked in a very similar way in both. Reformulations affecting longevity are happening elsewhere, and if that weren’t the case, overspraying at this price doesn’t hurt. This DNA isn’t my thing, but I know it pleases many. At $10, which is what I paid, it’s a more than safe purchase.

I feel almost like I’m wearing a genuine leather jacket; I don’t notice that synthetic tone. One could say it’s 85% natural leather with very well-done citrus and woods. As a leather fragrance and its cost-performance ratio, it’s a 10. Good performance, excellent price. A must-buy.

Update: Wore it at 34°C and noticed a cloying sweetness in addition to the leather that I can’t identify. Update 2024: I bought a decant of Tom Ford Tuscan Leather; I liked it, but it’s overwhelming with just two sprays. Absolute Leather is more versatile and wearable, of course, without comparing quality.

Despite being a catalog fragrance, it has such a charming scent that if offered as a higher-tier version, I’d buy it. Those who have tried Jafra’s Megamare know it’s the light version. I’m not an expert, but apply Absolute Leather to your skin, let it dry, and in 20 minutes you’ll get what I mean. Refined for men with character, perfect for bosses, and very affordable.
