Avon’s The Misunderstood Little Boot: This scent brings me a lot of nostalgia, mainly because my late paternal grandfather used to wear it every day. I know many people hate and despise this little boot fragrance, arguing that it smells like a synthetic, rancid, and bitter blend of leather and tobacco. My work friends also hate it for that reason, plus its invasive and heavy sillage. In my case, I don’t dislike this fragrance despite its aged composition and bad reputation. As I said from the start, this little boot is very misunderstood and quite undervalued, especially in today’s era where it seems to have no place due to the invasion of modern, overly sweet, and cloying men’s fragrances that everyone loves.
Avon’s Little Boot brings back memories of my grandfather, who wore it daily. I know many people smell cheap synthetic leather and stale tobacco in it, and my colleagues hate it for its heavy sillage, but it doesn’t bother me. It’s an old fragrance with an unfairly bad reputation. Nowadays, it’s undervalued amidst all the sugary, cloying garbage dominating the market.

Haha, I see they’ve restocked it. It’s funny because I always used to gift it to a relative. I ordered it from the catalog expecting magic, but it wasn’t so. It smells 100% artificial fake leather, and its trail is so heavy it’s annoying. That’s why I kept gifting it to him. I remember going into his room and when I opened it, everyone would scream: ‘Close that perfume!’ That was over 10 years ago; I don’t know if it’s still the same, but I imagine it is. As a joke, every time he finished it, I’d gift him another, and he’d use it without complaining. Those memories make me laugh again with that cursed Avon little boot.
Hahaha, I see they added this fragrance back. It makes me laugh because I used to gift it to a relative. I ordered it from the catalog expecting a great scent, but it wasn’t. It’s not exactly bad, but it smells extremely strong of a synthetic skin or leather—100% artificial. The issue isn’t so much the smell itself, but the trail; it’s so heavy it becomes annoying. That’s why I had to gift it to a relative. I remember sometimes when visiting that relative during gatherings, I’d go to their room, open the bottle, and within seconds everyone would say, ‘You opened that perfume, close it!!!’ Well, that was about 10 years ago or more. I don’t know if the scent has changed or if that overpowering aroma with its monstrous trail is still the same; I imagine it has!! Honestly, as a form of bullying, every time I finished it, I’d keep gifting it to him, and he kept using it. I think he wasn’t bothered much because he always finished it. Those memories make me laugh again about the DAMNED AVON BOOT, hahaha
