I have this perfume with the new bottle. The bottle is identical to Perles but in pink. The fragrance is a mix between Encre Noir and Perles, but much softer. The red pepper is quite perceptible and gives it a special touch. It’s a scent that changes constantly, nothing linear, and I see it as ideal for hot summer days. The rose is noticeable, but softer than in Encre Noir; sometimes bursts of Perles come through. It’s super feminine, the typical perfume of a rich, blonde girl in designer clothes. It lasts a long time, but the trail isn’t very strong. I had very bad reviews on Fragrantica, but as a big Lalique fan, it couldn’t be missing from my collection. Edit: I wouldn’t classify it as floral, but as a soft oriental floral; I recommend it to Lalique lovers.
It’s a delicate and elegant perfume, very soft to wear at any time of year. The rose is noticeable but subtle, because above all it smells of pepper in a very subtle and pleasant way. I find it gorgeous, light, and suitable for any occasion. It brings me good feelings, happy moments, and tenderness. What a shame it’s so hard to get; before its longevity was greater, at least that’s how I feel.
I imagined this perfume being very different, thinking of Le Baiser which I love, but it has nothing to do with it. The only thing that’s managed to win me over is the blend of pink pepper, nutmeg, and sandalwood. Unfortunately, I still don’t like it even though I adore its bottle; it simply doesn’t match my nose. What a pity we didn’t make a good couple.
I’ve had this perfume for an eternity and it’s still perfect. It was a gift for my 20th birthday and didn’t quite suit me back then, so I only wore it occasionally. Now, with more olfactory experience, I absolutely adore it, especially because it remains flawless just like the first day. It’s a ‘serious’ scent: upon application, juicy lychee makes the first impression, though it doesn’t last long, giving way to a classic rose and a spicy, peppery base. It’s a more vintage style for today. On my skin, sandalwood stands out at first, with very little vanilla. The longevity is exaggerated—over 7 hours; if it lands on clothes, it can last days or even weeks, with good projection that isn’t overwhelming. Maybe it’s the 3b09 edition. At 30, I’d wear it at night or for quiet, formal afternoons (baptisms, civil weddings) because on my skin the rose is juicy with a playful kick of pepper and the sweetness of fruits/vanilla. Fashions change, and this smells classic, not old-fashioned, without that astringent dry-down. Incredible quality.
