Flower Café by Botanicae

I already had the brand on my radar, but not this specific fragrance. I bought it blind because the notes always align with what I wear. It caught me off guard: I absolutely loved it. It’s vanilla, warm, spicy, and floral, achieving an incredible honeyed accord. The longevity on skin is brutal: I sprayed it Saturday at 6pm and it lasted until Sunday at 4pm. I think it’s super versatile, works for day and night, all year round, though I reserve it for fall and winter. 10/10, packaging and bottle are gorgeous. Botanicae is going to become one of my favorite brands.

Pleasant aroma, but very different from what the name suggests. The coffee is barely noticeable; if it’s there, it’s in the background. What dominates is the blend of rose and vanilla, which reminds me a lot of Mancera’s Roses Vanille. The performance is decent, nothing special: average projection and acceptable longevity, but nothing extraordinary. Although it says unisex, it sounds more feminine to me due to the floral and sweet profile. Still, I encourage men to try it without fear: I wear it and it seems perfect if you like this style. Special mention to the box, which mentions “shisha smoke”: a curious detail that made me laugh, especially since I don’t perceive that nuance at all.

Absolutely addictive fragrance that takes you to a calm, sweet, and floral environment, like a rose garden. The rose feels almost carnal, accompanied by a vanilla or white chocolate sweetness and milk foam. I don’t sense any spices or woods. It stays this way unchanged for 2-3 hours. Starting from 3-4 hours, it leaves a sweet, aromatic vanilla with a toasted touch, like brutal liquid caramel. I see it as totally unisex and extremely sexy. It’s not a powerhouse, but it’s perceived. It’s more of a close-to-skin, elegant fragrance. I see it as daytime and for mild seasons. I love it.

Delicious perfume of mature red roses with tonka bean, tobacco flower, and dark chocolate; sweetened with honey and praline, and accompanied by gardenia and iris. Upon trying it, I thought of two perfumes: Montale’s Intense Café and Dolce&Gabbana The Only One. Maybe also Byredo’s Rose of No Man’s Land and Chopard’s Love. It’s an intense, nighttime perfume for cold months. An enveloping halo of mystery. Roses Vanille by Mancera is much girlier, nothing alike. Rose perfumes can be very different.

My first impression of this fragrance on a blotter was of a rich, pleasant but unoriginal aroma, nothing more than déjà vu. The surprise came when applying it to the skin, and speaking from my pH, magic emerged at that moment. Certainly, it’s a floral rose scent and at first, that’s what I perceive most, but after a few seconds, that rose is dressed in exquisite sweetness, without losing a very fresh acidity that makes this perfume almost edible. I’m not a lover of this floral note, however Flower Café manages to wrap it in such charm that I can’t stop smelling my wrist as soon as I put it on. Surprisingly, it lasts from morning to night close to the skin and its sillage is very correct. I’ve also tried En Route from this same niche Murcian firm and it has fascinated me. Happy not to have to resort to French brands to get beautiful and quality perfumes, because in Spain we have gems like what Botanicae makes at a very reasonable price.
