I started this blind buy super excited, even though Nathalie Lorson’s nose always makes me hesitate. My faith in David Beckham comes from his Intimately, which remains a luxury, and I hope they don’t discontinue it. But with this EDT, the first word is ‘generic’. It’s the quintessential mainstream scent: that sweet, easygoing cologne for any young guy. It reminds me a lot of Invictus. It’s a watery-fruity fragrance with no surprises: a sweet, slightly artificial apple note from start to finish, with a touch of lavender and some unlisted aquatic notes. The smell is basically a men’s deodorant spray—no class, no woods, and lacking that powdery touch some people love. Another blind buy that turned out terrible.
