Descripción
Classic by David Beckham is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2013, this composition was created by perfumer Aurélien Guichard. The olfactory pyramid unfolds with top notes of lime, gin, and galbanum; a heart of mint, cypress, and nutmeg; and a base evoking amber, Texas cedar, and vetiver.

High aromatic intensity with a soft olfactory finish. A classic perfume perfect for evening wear. Elegant.
Insane intensity but with a soft touch; a perfect classic for going out at night, very elegant.
David Beckham Classic: Good, Nice, and Cheap. It’s a fragrance whose opening comes off a bit synthetic; while it does have some artificial notes, it still has its charm. A complex cashmere wood where you can detect musk alongside balsamic vanilla that evokes the scent of old book pages. It’s an authentic and aromatic combination with a very soft sweet tone thanks to the amber, which makes room for a pleasant herbal freshness. I don’t find any resemblance to Dolce & Gabbana The One; they are totally different. Given the price and the scent, it’s worth it for regular use in the office or for formal or informal meetings; it’s very versatile. Scent: 8.0. Projection: Good for the first hour, then perceptible until the two-hour mark. Longevity: 6 hours (3 hours close to the skin). Recommended.

I don’t find it similar to Dolce & Gabbana The One; they are totally different. Practically: very weak projection, minimum longevity, zero sillage. Pleasant scent, but only for yourself. Even though it’s cheap, it’s not worth it given the price; there are countless better alternatives.
Intimately by David Beckham has become one of my favorite scents so I’m totally open to trying any DB fragrances that come my way. I’ll admit I bought it out of greed—I snagged a 40ml tester at a steal. I was intrigued by its appealing notes: gin cypress mint nutmeg… Classic by DB isn’t a bad eau de toilette but it doesn’t really speak to me. I think it’s made for someone who just wants to smell decent without drawing attention. Perfect for the office no doubt; you won’t stand out at all. The top notes remind me of a fragrance from Springfield I used to dry my pimples with in my teenage years but in the heart I detect a realistic cypress scent that I like. The drydown is pleasant but it fades quickly to skin level—it’s a classic simple cologne that’s not very memorable. It’s ridiculous that perfumes are tied to specific ages but I can imagine it fitting men 40 and up. Lately I prefer polarized charming or extreme scents but this Classic is too harmless and low-key; I know I’m asking for the moon here. Anyway I’ll keep using it because I know my opinion might change with more wear.
What I perceive is a shy vetiver with hints of lime, pine, and tobacco. Very soft, classic, pleasant, and masculine, just like its name, and as pale as its bottle. At least it doesn’t release pure alcohol like another fragrance in the same collection.
It doesn’t smell bad, but it competes with Antonio Banderas in the category of worst performance. I tried it at a store, and after 20 minutes, I had to press my nose against my hand just to catch a whiff. The only use I see for it is as a post-shower splash…
Another letdown with mediocre and stingy performance. I don’t understand how they don’t notice this to create a product with such poor performance. The aroma is a touch of gin tonic, lemon peel, and English-style freshness. I use it to scent my sheets and pillows before bed, and that’s where it shines… I should be less impulsive and test before buying…
Another disappointment, mediocre performance and stingy. How do they not notice this? Smells like gin and tonic, lemon peel, clean like an English cologne. I use it to scent sheets and pillows before bed and that’s where it works… I must be less impulsive and test before buying.
Sells well with a citrus opening that initially reminds me of other Beckham fragrances like Instinct or Classic Homme, but as it dries down, that rounded, almost sweet amber note takes over. Mixed with the lingering citrus, it gives off a sweet, soapy, and clean vibe. If you read that it contains gin, you might think of a gin tonic, which brings to mind Argentina’s Bensimon Brave. Wish it had better longevity…
I bought this for the price, which isn’t too cheap in Argentina—around $25 to $30—and honestly, its performance is abysmal, even worse than mediocre, similar to $10 fragrances. The scent is the flattest I’ve ever smelled: a soft opening with a mid-tone apricot nuance, a very faint woody base, almost zero sillage, and negligible longevity. It’s practically a cologne for a freshly showered 10-year-old. For folks here, I’d suggest trying something from the Natura or Antonio Banderas lines, which are priced similarly but are incomparably superior; don’t get fooled by the celebrity name…
