Although some websites say it’s feminine, the official site lists it as unisex, so I grabbed it on a whim. It’s a strange and uncommon fragrance with moderate sillage but excellent longevity and fixative properties. Maybe the feminine and floral side lasts half an hour on my skin, leaving only a subtle powdery touch of gardenias and bergamot to give way to the oriental side that I truly love, where creamy sandalwood and a non-intrusive vanilla predominate. It’s quite versatile from Bond, but in my opinion, more for collectors. I like it!
Well, what a horror. I truly feel ripped off. This smells exactly like what my aunt used when she came back from the USA with her Estée Lauder Beautiful. Oh no! I tried it all night and the next morning, and I just hate it. There’s no way around it. It’s so expensive and such a disappointment. It feels like an old line, like Beautiful, Chanel No. 5, Shalimar… if you like those, you’ll love it. If not, don’t waste your money or you’ll cry like I did. Luckily, they let me return it, thank God. I hope my opinion helps someone.
Horrible, I feel cheated. This smells like my aunt’s perfume who came from the USA; she used Estée Lauder’s Beautiful, omg! I wore it all night and into the next morning, and I hate it even more now; there’s no way. It’s so expensive that it’s a disappointment. I feel it’s an old line, like Beautiful, Chanel No. 5, Shalimar… if you love those fragrances, you’ll adore it; if not, don’t spend your money or you’ll cry like I did. Lucky for me, they returned my receipt so I could return it thanks to God. I hope my opinion helps someone else.
I didn’t expect this; I bought it blindly and it’s a total gamble (you almost never get it right). I thought it would be floral and fresh, but it’s the exact opposite: delicate, soft, slightly sweet, talcum-powdery, warm, spicy, and elegant. At first, it seemed boring to me, maybe because I prefer strong perfumes, but with wear, it has captivated me. It’s creamy, silky, and intimate, lasting about 10 hours with moderate-to-low sillage, but I always notice it. It’s not that pink, tender-flower perfume the bottle suggests; it’s more beige, talcum-powdery with a vintage touch. I wore it in summer at night and felt very comfortable. I’ll wait to see how it performs in autumn and winter. In short, it’s very nice for people over 30.
It’s a feminine, spicy, and warm scent that I love; it lasts all day and leaves a nice trail. The bottle… wow, it looks a bit cheap. I wouldn’t pay its price in fancy stores, but if you catch it online at half price, it’s fine.
I read the notes and looked at the bottle thinking something spring-like, but this is a warm, spicy floral, rare but attractive. At first I thought of incense, but sometimes it smells like cinnamon; it begs for cold weather. The downside is that on my skin it lasts a breath (3 hours), but because of the rarity of the scent, I’d include it in my collection if I find it at a good price. I liked it, but I didn’t fall in love enough to ignore the longevity; it could be unisex.
I bought the decant following YouTubers because it’s a white floral, my favorite genre. The initial impression on my skin seemed very spicy and disappointed me, but over time it completely won me over and shut my mouth. It’s a feminine, elegant, and captivating floral with good longevity and sillage. Ideal for cool or cold days, depending on taste. I’ll keep using it to see if I end up buying the full bottle.
Bond #9’s Chinatown is a classic with an oriental, spicy, and powdery vibe, ideal if you love Shalimar or Chanel No. 5 and are looking for something interesting for unisex wear. High-quality guaiac and sandalwood woods blend with a dynamic touch that smells more like clove than cinnamon (even though it’s not listed). It’s very sophisticated, but beware: don’t buy it blindly just because of the price; it’s not for everyone.
The scent is delicious, but it lasts a maximum of 2 hours; the rest of the time it’s skin-scent only. I wouldn’t recommend it. However, it has become one of my favorite scents lately, and I bathe in it every chance I get.
Tested Chinatown in various climates and confirmed: it looks absolutely beastly in extreme heat. Today, February 7th in Argentina, it was over 33 degrees with high humidity; I sprayed it at 10 am and it was still going strong at 4 pm. With the wind and my hair moving, I get puffs of scent that make me smile. I have to confess, this is the first time a Bond No. 9 has lasted this long on me, and I’m so happy! The scent is delicious: a woody white floral, but with a standout note (I’m pretty sure it’s peach blossom) that makes it unique compared to other white florals. It’s delicate and feminine. Beyond the flowers and woods, the cardamomo really shines, giving it a rich, spicy sweetness. I’m thrilled! Now that I’ve discovered its brilliance, I’ll be wearing it more often during these days of extreme heat and humidity 😀
