Seriously! It smells amazing—a brilliant twist on the scent of ripe apples (note: not fresh green apple) that, combined with vetiver and the rest, creates a gorgeous symphony. At first, I thought it was generic, but I was wrong; it takes familiar notes and amplifies them incredibly with surprising longevity. The violets and bergamot hit hard at the start, reminiscent of famous perfumes, but it’s a really good fragrance: imagine mixing Abercrombie’s First Instinct, Eclat d’Arpege, and a touch of Polo Blue; those two form the distinct base of Paradise Bay. As a critique, the bottle is pretty and heavy, but the cap is uncomfortable, and those white ‘Paradise Bay’ letters ruin the elegance—they look scratched, like wearing an emerald necklace with a seashell one that just doesn’t match, though maybe that was the designer’s concept: rating 1-10, scent: 7.5, bottle: 8.0, trail: 8.5, longevity: 8 hours (measured with a timer app), noticeable on clothes and skin, quality: 9.0, price: mid to high.
