Lately, I’ve been very picky, and this just doesn’t suit me. The powdery note brings back memories of other scents I didn’t like. Here, alongside the leather, they don’t stand out as much as in others, but I feel they don’t blend well with the vanilla. This vanilla isn’t cloying or resinous; it’s balsamic, soft, and dusty. The vibe (as always) is far from the complexity of a real bean, but it’s still pleasant. I think the almond helps create that powdery texture, like many do, though it doesn’t smell fruity. Finally, I catch a touch of Cecile’s signature, like heliotrope or frangipani, blended together rather than isolated. It has good performance, but it’s not for me.
