I absolutely love Roger & Gallet. This Shiso scent works well, but it fades in just 20 minutes, full stop. It smells like those baby bath waters, but without the astringent note—more classy instead. Perfect for relaxing at home, sleeping, yoga, or just for yourself. I detect a bit of mint at first, but it vanishes quickly, leaving a general herbal aroma. It’s not my favorite; I gifted it to my aunt who adores light herbal scents for work, and she loves it. It’s unisex and you can apply generously since it’s not very potent.

I’m a huge fan of Roger & Gallet fragrances. The Shiso scent is pleasant. The only downside is it doesn’t last more than 20 minutes before disappearing. It reminds me a bit of those baby-style bath waters, but without that astringent touch, offering more class and quality. For me, it’s a relaxing perfume for staying at home, sleeping, attending yoga or meditation classes, or simply for personal enjoyment. I do detect a slight mint note in the top notes, but it fades quickly, as the previous review mentioned, turning into a general herbal aroma. It’s not my favorite from Roger & Gallet; I ended up gifting it to my aunt who loves these super light herbal scents for work, and she’s thrilled. It’s completely unisex, and you can apply it liberally since the fragrance isn’t very powerful.
Isolda
I bought this blind because there were no testers available. If Roger & Gallet made a signature scent without a specific aroma theme, this would be it. It smells cool; the citrus isn’t noticeable, and the purple mint doesn’t smell minty—more herbal. I thought it was distant, crystalline bamboo, but it’s actually subtle, cold male leaves barely perceptible, paired with a soft freesia like a sigh after an ice-cold drink. It conveys stillness, like many Japanese things. If you’re looking for something cool that isolates, suggests nothing, and balances you, this could be it. It doesn’t evoke sensations; it just cools you down. The peony sometimes reminds me of the Rosa perfume from the brand, but extremely watery, a very faint and cold trail.
