The only PDM that doesn’t work for me. Don’t buy it blindly… It’s intense incense and way too oriental for my taste. I don’t see it as elegant or sitting well on the skin… a disaster… Not even my girlfriend, who is a huge PDM fan, could handle it.

Usually, with fragrances, we get spectacular openings that then fade. Commercial perfumers tend to nail the opening to sell… but in Habdan, they seem to have done the opposite. A perfectly normal, well-crafted opening that keeps getting better over time. I say that out of all the perfumes I’ve tried, this takes the crown for being the most evolving. A hidden gem from Parfums de Marly that deserves more hype. I enjoyed it more than Carlisle and almost as much as Herod and Layton. It’s hard to describe; it’s mysterious, elegant, and the base notes give a sweet cleanliness. It’s not heavy and works well in winter, spring, and autumn… It’s not very projective and doesn’t last beyond 4-5 hours… nothing a dupe or layering can’t fix… if you can afford it, although I think Habdan’s price is excessive.

A fairly dark fragrance with a mysterious aura. The opening is subtle; you can detect contained myrrh, a hint of green apple, and caramel. It’s an exuberant, exotic, and very wearable scent. Reminds me a lot of Acqua di Parma Oud; they have a similar vibe. For me, Habdan is an autumn composition that unleashes magic and transports you to the Middle East. Its downside is the trail and projection. It’s a unisex scent that’s noticeable in the first hour, but then it stays with you for about 6 hours. For me, it’s a delight, but it’s not the one announcing itself at every step. It’s discreet yet very elegant. Fragrance 9/10 Sillage 7/10 Projection 6/10 Longevity 8/10
It doesn’t smell bad; basically, it’s incense with apple. The incense isn’t metallic like in Loewe 7, it’s softer and not intrusive at all. The downside is that it has poor projection and longevity, plus the price. Still, I liked the scent. I recommend it for any weather and see it more as a daily wear. It also seems more masculine than feminine, even though it’s listed as unisex.
