Yara Elixir by Lattafa Perfumes

The dry-down is sensational: it smells like a strawberry and fruit bomb dessert, super gourmand. If you love creamy strawberry and cream desserts, this is your one.

It’s a good perfume, not the most original or mature, but definitely the most serious in the line. It starts acidic, like strawberry or blueberry, and quickly turns into marshmallow with vanilla and musk. It lasts brutally—8 or 9 hours—and projects heavily for the first two. It’s that typical college girl scent you pass by or smell when someone steps out of the elevator. Although it’s gourmand, it’s not as overwhelming as Candy, but more potent than Yara Rosa. If you like gourmand scents, buy it blind. If you already own this Yara, you don’t need another since it outshines them all.

The best of the Yara line. It’s sweet and youthful, but unlike the original, which feels too babyish to me, this is perfectly wearable at any age. Fortunately, it doesn’t have that coconut note I dislike in the original. It’s not very suitable for summer because it’s really sweet and syrupy, but even in spring, it seems okay. It has a strawberry note that is a delight. It’s an evolution of Yara Candy that I love, but this one is more adult, creamier, and has better longevity. It dries down to a vanilla note, but mostly, you can feel the caramel. Adorable.

It’s like Yara Candy mixed with Marshmallow Blush and vanilla. I thought it would be something different, but I still like it. It has great projection and isn’t cloying. I’m not sure if I’d buy it again; it cost me 36,000 Chilean pesos.

Reminds me of cheesecake with syrup. Maybe a bit cloying, but it holds up. The trail and longevity are superior to the rest of the line. Great for all seasons except summer, perfect for casual occasions.

At first, it’s literally Yara Candy, but within seconds, it fades into a fluffier side of strawberry, caramel, and a bit of vanilla. The dry down is very similar to Marshmallow Blush, though not identical; they resemble each other a lot. THE BEST IN LONGEVITY: I can’t even smell it on myself anymore, and people keep complimenting me 🥳; it lingers on clothes until I wash them.

Not worth the hype. It smells too soft, even softer than the Pink Yara, which lasts forever. This one is more juicy—you can detect strawberries with cream and currants, a creamy touch, but nothing else. Longevity is very poor and it projects almost nothing. It’s like wearing rose water; a shame given how good it smells.

I’ve become a lover of oriental vanilla and fruity-floral gourmand perfumes. Yara Elixir fits that line; it’s somewhat similar to Marshmallow Blush, sharing that intense sweetness and the strawberry, but I don’t feel it’s gourmand. This fragrance is more floral and spiced, more elegant and mature. While Marshmallow Blush smells like strawberry and lemon gum, this smells like white flowers bathed in caramel and spices. It’s mysterious and different from everything I’ve tried. Although it evokes other perfumes, nothing is truly alike, not even its predecessor. Far and away the best in the Yara collection. It’s a unique, original, and delicate scent; I loved it. Its opening is sweet and fruity, while the dry down is floral and caramelized, with touches of vanilla and spices. A delight. It’s versatile, usable in any season except summer, especially on extremely hot days. Also ideal for night due to its elegance and sophistication. Its longevity is about 6 hours with moderate to high sillage. It’s an interesting and feminine aroma. It’s truly an exquisite treat; it has me obsessed.

Uffffff… Who needs the traditional Yara with this new baby? What a delicious thing. I haven’t tried a perfume this rich in a long time. I love it. I’m still testing it, but I can say these are the most delicious and elegant strawberries I’ve ever tried. 🥰😍🫶🏻💘

When I saw it being compared to Yara Candy, I was scared because while I like that one, it ended up getting tiring on me. Upon trying it, the opening smells just like Candy, but without the candy sourness. Then it quickly evolves into cotton candy. Does it resemble Yum Boujee? A little bit. It’s like a lighter, airier version of that. It’s creamy but not lactonic. Honestly, I don’t think anyone could dislike it; it’s very “mass appealing,” as if they mixed the vibe of pink Yara and Candy with commercial perfumes like Donna Born in Roma or a touch of Paradoxe. It’s easy to wear, not excessively intense, and I love the scent; it’s feminine and enveloping. For now, pink Yara is still my number one, but I’ll give this Elixir some time to see if it can dethrone it.
