Have you worn Victoria’s Secret Angel?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. A friend gifted it to me; the opening is lovely, but once it dries down, it smells harsh and unpleasant—not special at all. It just doesn’t convince me, even though the bottle is luxurious.

  2. larilara

The bottle with its wings and iridescent finish made me dream of something ethereal and feminine; that vibe is there, but all I detect is gardenia and oud. It reminds me of Tous Gold, but with a very weak trail. What a pity; if it were more original, I would have bought it.

I only bought the Angel mist and I liked it; for a mist, it lasts three hours before softening into an eight-hour trail. The opening is sweet—I don’t notice the pink pepper or plum, but I do sense the violet and gardenia. In the dry down, it’s very clean with that oud wood. I don’t get the musk, but I do feel the lasting power of the violets, gardenias, and wood. To me, it’s very feminine and defines a classy woman.

I admit I bought it for the bottle; I love the wings and it looks great in my vanity. But I think I’ll only use it for decoration. Something weird is happening: I think it’s an old perfume that’s gone bad. With ‘Victoria’ and ‘Angel,’ they smell nice at first, but once they dry on my skin, they smell like insecticide—disgusting. In fact, the whole experience was so depressing that I can’t use them the way I wanted.
