Uno by Ésika

Smells like a soft tangerine with a herbal touch and a masculine base. It doesn’t smell like Sauvage because it lacks the lavender; this is pure ambroxan and pepper without that floral note. I’d give it a 7/10.

The opening is alcoholic, almost strong enough to register on a breathalyzer, but within ten minutes it becomes soft and exquisite. It’s a pure blue fragrance, crowned by that note that initially seemed like raw rye from New Year’s Eve, but now it’s elegant and unique. Scent 10/10, price 10/10, projection 7/10, and longevity 8/10.

Acquiring this fragrance was a disappointment: the alcohol smell is strong, and in my warm climate, it’s too heavy. I bought it at twenty-four and thought it was for an older man; now I’d say it’s for someone over forty in cold weather. After two more applications, I concluded it wasn’t my style, so I gifted it to my dad.

I just bought Sauvage Eau de Parfum and one from Esika that resembles this Sauvage version a lot. It doesn’t resemble the Eau de Toilette at all, but it does resemble this EDP, very much. The Esika one is fresher because the Sauvage EDP is sweeter. I’d say it’s 85% or more similar, very citrusy, and you can tell the woody ambroxan. For the price, it’s a great option to have a scent similar to Sauvage EDP.

The first time I smelled it, it was a guy in a store in Sonora (where it’s between 35 and 45 degrees). I bought it, let it macerate for a month, and it’s a very casual, sophisticated leather and ambroxan for everyday wear. When I go to work and have to be in the sun, it’s one of my go-to perfumes for ‘war mode.’ For the price, it’s a great fragrance that we should have in our collection.

Versatile aroma in the Sauvage style, watch out, they aren’t the same but it reminds you of it slightly. One of the best from Esika, I’d dare to say. Excellent for daily use if you want to start in the world of perfumery: it’s affordable and works well for any season, just adjust the sprays according to the weather.

Fantastic fragrance for quality and price. SCENT: I can’t think of any other description than ‘gin in a bottle.’ Literally, it’s like having a well-prepared gin. Subtle, sweet, not cloying, and extremely versatile; it gives an impression of cleanliness. LONGEVITY AND Sillage: Moderate longevity, 5-6 hours solid. The sillage is amazing; with two sprays, it’s moderate but noticeable. If you want to make an impression, six or more sprays achieve an imposing trail. USAGE: It can be a strong fragrance due to its versatility and unconventional scent. You won’t smell like everyone else. Especially for hot days, it’s perfect.

It’s a light and versatile fragrance. For the price, you can’t ask for more in terms of longevity and projection, but it smells good and is very pleasant. It reminds me of a lighter, less obnoxious version of Sauvage.

It smells very herbal, which isn’t a scent everyone likes; I recommend giving it a try. It works better on warm nights than during the day because of that intense herbal aroma. It turns a bit unpleasant with sweat.

I’ve been wearing it for 6 months; it’s very versatile. After a month, the longevity increased. It has a fresh, boozy opening, an aromatic heart, and a very strong amber base that I didn’t quite like. Although it’s a good fragrance, at 4 hours the ambroxan still stings in bursts and started to bother me. It doesn’t resemble Dior Sauvage, but it’s the same style, more similar to Dylan Blue. Note: it causes olfactory fatigue; I had to apply it to someone else to properly notice its projection and longevity. Longevity: 6h+. Projection: 3h. Usage: Casual-informal (heat, temperate). Age: 18+.

I want to completely change my opinion! 15 days after not spraying it, I gave it another try today and I really liked it. The scent is nothing like the generic stuff I said; it’s fresh, rich, and potent. It’s nothing old-fashioned; it smells great for the price. I’ve been drenched in it for 2 hours (10 sprays) and I like it more and more with every passing moment. The scent is very versatile; I see it as perfect for hot days and cozy for cool days. Honestly, I’ll finish the bottle, but I doubt I’ll buy it again, not because it’s bad, but because I want to try something different. I also tried L’Bel’s Bleu Glacial; this week when it was fresh, I used it every day, and the scent embraced me; it’s fresh, soft, and cozy, and I liked it a lot. I think these months without using it did it good. This was my initial opinion, but it’s nothing like it now. Regret buying it. It arrived at night, and I only sprayed it once on my arm to start. The opening is very rich, nothing extraordinary but rich. The problem started about 30 minutes later: the delicious scent fades and leaves a very generic one, like any catalog perfume, sweet and spiced, which started to make me dizzy and nauseous to the point that I couldn’t stand it for 1 hour and had to take a shower again. Simply not what I expected, what a pity; I had so much faith in it. I’ve tried 3 from the catalog, supposedly highly rated, but I left all 3 unused because although the openings are delicious, the dry-down always goes to something very generic and bad-tasting for me. I’m talking about L’Bel’s Bleu Glacial, Natura’s Kayak Vital, and this Uno by Esika. Conclusion: despite how much it hurts to say it, I won’t buy again, first none from the catalog and second, nothing from designer brands that I haven’t decanted for a while. And as a note, I’m convinced I’m 99% fresh citrus aromas; in the remaining 1%, Halloween Man X and CH 212 Sexy fit.

I recommend it; it’s an intense and soapy fragrance that denotes cleanliness, ideal for office mornings. Only the atomizer doesn’t do its job well; I solved it with a generic decant that sprays the liquid better, plus if sprayed correctly, you get more out of the fragrance. Greetings to everyone who shares a taste for fragrances.

In the opening it’s a decent fragrance with a slightly liquorish and citrusy start, but after a while it turns into a quite unpleasant aroma, I imagine it’s that chemical ambroxan. I can’t recommend it, Ésika has better fragrances, this one is not.

I kept 10ml as a backup and the scent intensified after three months. Projects super well and smells even better. It’s 80% similar to Versace Dylan Blue; both are citrusy, sweet, and frankly ambroxan-heavy. A good alternative to Versace, less sweet, perfect for summer 😏.

Esika fragrances aren’t as good as people say. This UNO is versatile, but it can quickly become overwhelming.
