This fragrance is rare, but in a good way. The opening is very spicy and peppery; it reminds me a lot of pepper, even though I don’t wear it. I didn’t love the top notes entirely at first, but it gradually improves. As it dries down, a beautiful neroli appears, which combined with akigalawood gives a sensation similar to the oud/neroli blend in Bortnikoff’s Symphonie de Neroli, but without that intense, fecal, medicinal part—it’s much softer. As it continues to dry, iris and vanilla emerge, making it powdery, though I never perceive it as sweet. Longevity is good; projection is high at first but drops later, and overall it becomes soft and wearable. It’s a great alternative to Bortnikoff if you don’t want to spend as much, giving a very similar impression. In fact, if you spray a bit of Symphonie on the other wrist, they’re similar, but this one is much softer. Scent: 7.5, Longevity: 8, Projection: 7, Value: 7, Versatility: 6, Originality: 9, Overall: 8.

  • This fragrance arrived, and I must say it’s totally floral with a spicy pepper touch. The first memory it evokes is of sophisticated older ladies I used to see as a child, but now with modernized touches. As Emorandeira says, it’s a ‘rare’ fragrance in a good way and doesn’t seem similar to any other current one. After a few minutes, the spiciness settles, and I notice the neroli citrus notes and the oriental woody oud. Highly recommended if you like these scents, but it steers clear of commercial formulas.

Une Amourette was created by Daniela Andrier, the nose behind all Prada fragrances. It’s an interesting oud that doesn’t resemble anything I’ve tried: clean woods, soapy, fresh, and versatile—very enjoyable without any weird animalic notes. Plus, it has a bright, exquisite iris with enough strength for men but enough character for women with personality. It has some similarities to Dunhill Icon Silver, but Amourette is deeper, with an easy-to-wear oud and an iris base like Prada’s (you can really feel Daniela’s hand here) that’s more intense and long-lasting. Greetings from Chile.

  • Well… it didn’t do anything for me. Within the house, there are much more interesting fragrances. The dry-down is conventional; it reminds me of those ‘mommy’ perfumes from the nineties: comfortable, correct, calm, but nothing more. It doesn’t highlight any clear note, it’s well-constructed, but it doesn’t take me anywhere or suggest anything.

  • I was scared—I’m not into oud at all—but since it’s by this creator and iris is the star, I jumped in blindly… and thank God I did. What a perfume: a clean iris with a very slight dirty touch at first, totally addictive for me and my partner. One of those discoveries that always puts a smile on your face. Decent performance, and you start asking yourself, ‘Why do I have 500 perfumes when things like this exist?’ Scents are subjective, but I recommend it; every time someone tries it, they say, ‘watch out for this.’

I don’t get the backlash; it’s a fragrance from another world. If you like soft oud, this is your option. It has a sweet, powdery touch, and that oud scent gives it a super sexy vibe that makes you feel special.

I tried the 2018 bottle, and after testing it, it smells like Oud Wood but much fresher. After an hour, it transforms and reminds me of Prada L’Homme Intense, which is what I use for comparison. In my opinion, it’s nothing risky; it’s an olfactory life insurance policy.
