  • The opening is impactful, exceptionally balsamic, and reaches the bottom of your lungs with the first whiff. It’s truly narcotic and hypnotic. I checked the notes on Fragrantica and don’t see menthol; perhaps it’s the styrax resins. That balsamic blend with the faint perception of tuberose is super addictive; you want to smell, smell, and smell more. The initial balsamic power lasts briefly before yielding, slowly but firmly, to the creaminess of the tuberose. It’s a tuberose exceptionally well tied together with mentholated notes; it seems both reach a mutual agreement. The balsamic power fades gradually while the creamy tuberose takes the lead without abandoning the slight balsamic note, accompanied by white flowers, hyacinth, and velvetized by vanilla. On the first day, I received three compliments with surprised faces: ‘What fragrance are you wearing? What exactly is it?’ As its name suggests, it’s a criminal tuberose that seizes your senses in a chameleon-like way; when you realize it, you find you can’t stop inhaling its aroma. In short, a magnificent and powerful tuberose. I would have liked greater longevity, but I’m satisfied; it’s an aroma I’d never experienced before. 8/10

  • I’d been searching for this perfume for years. It was a blind buy, and thanks to Esther’s review on her YouTube channel, it didn’t disappoint me in the slightest. It’s a direct ode to neroli. The opening is so potent it floods your lungs; it smells of fresh green neroli, almost with a mentholated or medicinal balm touch, but nothing unpleasant—on the contrary, it’s addictive. It’s not linear on my skin: after 15 minutes, it already smells of perfect, rich, and creamy blooming neroli, with a base of green grass and vanilla pods, everything very natural and alive. Then it evolves into a more mature neroli, becoming a unisex floral, though with a more feminine character due to the vibrancy of the white flowers, yet usable by everyone. Is it what I expected? Yes, and I feel happy every time I wear it. The trail is wide and heavy, and the longevity is extraordinary; it lasts on clothes even after washing. Worth every penny. For neroli lovers, a successful blind buy. My first Serge Lutens perfume leaves me completely satisfied.
