From the start, the oud-rose duo stands out, but the citrus notes give it a fresher vibe. The oud isn’t as harsh as in other perfumes, which I really love. Soon, the citrus gives way to saffron and other spices, while the oud and rose recede slightly into the background; I even catch a subtle touch of patchouli. From the heart to the dry down, alongside the saffron, the scent becomes increasingly musky, keeping that soft oud, rose, and patchouli lingering at the base. In the final hours, what stands out most is the saffron, which for me is the star note. The longevity is moderate, around 4 to 6 hours, and the projection is quite low at first, though it remains present afterward. The smell feels pretty unisex, with the saffron leaning feminine and the oud masculine, so I see it as suitable for both. I think it works well in temperate or cold weather, though in intense heat it could become overpowering due to the spices and oud. I liked the fragrance and its evolution from a fresh opening to a spicy, musky dry down, plus the fact that its oud is soft and wearable compared to others. However, I wouldn’t buy it because it lacks that special something I look for in a scent.
