Jafra brings us this adorable feminine perfume whose presentation oozes sweetness from every angle. The box is decorated like it’s part of a bakery or fair, or a kid’s party candy table; the bottle is shaped like a cupcake. I’m lucky enough to act on weekends, dressed in period costume to tell legends to a young audience, so I have freedom to use sweet perfumes since kids love them the sweeter they are. After getting dressed, I put on Sweetie and my colleagues stopped everything to say, ‘You smell amazing!’ No one left the dressing room without asking to smell it. Simply delicious. It’s been a while since a perfume stopped traffic, which is a very good sign. The first thing I perceived was the peach nectar, quite strong and boozy. Once it settled, it became slightly amber and cake-like. I was transported to a grandmother’s kitchen cooking delicious cakes; I almost could add texture and color to that aroma. Then came the red berry jam notes, which reminded me of a synthetic but delicious body mist; in Sweetie, it’s extremely delicious and gourmand. Finally, the cotton candy, which together with the jam makes it subtly powdery. When you wear it, you smell like a French patisserie or a delicious homemade strawberry pie. It’s a warm, kind, sweet, pleasant, and appetizing aroma. Its trail is lovely; you don’t stop smelling it and others perceive it too. It’s not invasive and inspires affection and tenderness. It’s like you transform into the Sugar Fairy and invite the gingerbread men to dance. You truly become part of a sweet fairy tale. My story with this fragrance has a beautiful, uninterrupted 7-hour duration. I don’t feel like a princess, but part of Jauja. Scent: 10/10, Longevity: 10/10, Sillage: 10/10, Bottle: 8/10.

Have you smelled the reformulated Topsy? It’s basically the same, about 90% similar. Sweetie’s opening is more intense due to the cotton note, while Topsy is a fresher, more vanilla-forward strawberry, but the dry-down is identical. They even have the same atomizer and spray the same way; they seem made in the same place, just changing the bottle and brand. Unfortunately, Topsy has terrible performance, lasting less than 20 minutes on my skin, whereas Sweetie lasts at least 5 hours on the skin. Conclusion: if you liked Topsy but prefer something that lasts longer and is sweeter, try Sweetie.

The projection is impressive; two sprays fill the whole room. It smells like pineapple and cotton candy, so much so that I want to eat it. The downside is the poor longevity; after three hours, I can’t smell anything, and the sillage is weak. I know it’s a cologne, but for 400 pesos in 50 ml, I think there are better options. I won’t be buying it again due to the longevity, but I absolutely love the scent.

An intense gourmand aroma. If you don’t like sweet perfumes, don’t try it. Although it’s a cologne, the opening is very intense, with great sillage, and I don’t perceive it as a fragrance that evolves. I agree that the pineapple is very noticeable, artificial, like baked pineapple in syrup or gummies. Very delicious if you like very sweet aromas. You can find it on sale, up to 200 Mexican pesos.

Smells like pineapple with sugar and cotton candy, rich and delicious. On my skin, it lasts about as long as the VS body—around 5 hours. I recommend it, but the longevity is short. It cost me 300 Mexican pesos.
