I love this perfume. It’s pure summer, joy, sunset, and fresh dresses moving with the night breeze. Kenzo is a giant in perfumery. Thanks for all the reviews; they’re a true delight.
I love this perfume… it’s simple and elegant, but what a shame I can’t find it in Chile anymore since they stopped importing it to my country.
Summer, beach, sun.
Delicious, fresh, light…
A while ago, I had a sealed, very old box of this beauty at a store that brought perfumes to my city. Sometimes I walked past, other times I’d stare at the yellow flower box, and other times just glance, thinking and remembering that delicious scent I knew in… 2007? when it was still available. The box, with some dust on the cellophane, would flirt with me every time I passed, inviting me to see the creation inside. Finally, a few days ago, as a reward to myself for everything I did this year (haha, I always reward myself this way), I decided to treat myself. The truth: UNIQUE! An unparalleled aroma. Similar to Guerlain’s ‘Champs-Élysées’, both highlight mimosa, but this goes further. A cheerful, subtle mimosa, nothing strong or synthetic. A little sweet, but not overpowering. Persistent, it mixes with sparkling citrus, almond milk, and musk. One of the most original scents I’ve ever felt. I love it! Fresh, light, summery, sweet, and soft. It’s a perfumed veil that sometimes disappears only to surprise you again with milky traces (must be the almond). Clean, but not citrusy or aquatic. It smells like baby soap or shampoo under an acacia with thousands of mimosas. Powdery and light finish. Longevity: about 6 hours with projection, then close to the skin. It lingers on clothes, delicate and subtle. Noticeable but not overwhelming. It’s discontinued, which is why I bought it and I’m in love. If it’s a concept: bucolic, pastoral, for when the sun sets on a summer afternoon after the heat. Totally recommended if you find it and your wallet doesn’t hurt (it’s expensive on eBay and Amazon). For mimosa fans: its note is very noticeable, but not as strong as ‘Eden’ by Cacharel, nor as sweet/vanillic as ‘Byzantine’ by Rochas. It has a soapy-powdery point like ‘Champs-Élysées’, but younger and lighter. It sits between these two, but very different, easy to wear, and original. Greetings from Chile!
I really liked it. Floral, rich, with the standout almond milk note. Unfortunately, I never could buy it, and when I had the chance, I couldn’t find it. What a shame. I’m from Argentina, and it’s been discontinued for seven or eight years. I don’t understand why Kenzo dropped it. I hope they bring it back, though surely it wouldn’t be the same as the original; they’ll reformulate it like so many others. What a pity!
I had this perfume six years ago. It was one of my favorites; I never got tired of it until it ran out, and I couldn’t find it again. On my skin, it opens with short-lived citrus, then highlights mimosa, violet, almond milk, and perhaps jasmine. It develops for 8 to 10 hours, fading gradually to make way for animalic notes, cedar, and something I can’t identify, I suppose styrax. It’s very clean, creamy, with almond milk (not quite the almond note) and mimosa taking center stage. Basically, that’s what it smells like. Good longevity, moderate to soft sillage, close to the skin. It smells like a quality, clean, discreet soap, but personal. It’s not for stopping people to ask what you’re wearing, but it’s unique, feminine, and distinguished. Great for spring or summer, day or evening. A good option for the office, meetings, or events where you don’t need to stand out. What a pity it’s discontinued.
Among the perfumes I love, I keep some that are now discontinued, repeating like Gollum… ‘My precious…’. Haha. And with the ones still around, at any moment the sales directors will lose their minds and reformulate or eliminate another gem. But let’s focus on this Kenzo beauty. I had the bad luck of discovering beautiful fragrances right when they were in their final years. I managed to buy three bottles of Summer, one included a scented cream. I still have the last one, almost full and in great condition. Summer is like those first days of spring for me, when you start to feel the warmth of the sun on your skin without it being overwhelming or burning, and the first flower buds unfold their scent amidst the hustle of life in a garden surrounded by trees letting light filter through their greening branches. That’s what Kenzo Summer is for me: life, joy, sun, color, even though I can’t distinguish between the different nuances of the fragrance, that’s the feeling it gives me; that’s why I love it. It’s a daytime fragrance, and I’ve worn it on formal occasions like garden weddings. On my skin, its sillage and longevity are elevated.

I bought it blind! I smell yellow flowers; it’s quite powdery and has that vintage vibe. When I wear it, I remember lying on a chaise longue under the sun, smelling skin tanning.
I like it, but it doesn’t wow me anymore. It’s the second bottle. Maybe I used it daily and it got in my face. Now I notice the mimosa, musk, amber, and especially the musk a lot. I stopped it halfway and put it away. Reviews say it smells like the Champs-Élysées, and it’s true. Ideal for a summer day.
I loved it when it was launched and couldn’t buy it. I finally got the courage last year and bought it online. When it arrived, it didn’t smell the same to me; it seemed like one note was tickling my nose. I kept it until yesterday… I tried it and the magic worked. There it was again, my beloved Summer smelling like sunscreen, like spring, like beautiful but undefined memories that you carry inside and are part of you. Wildflower meadows, a family outing, the joy of waking up healthy and without having to work on a Saturday… the musk gives that warmth that makes you feel complete. That’s what I feel today.
I adored this since its launch and couldn’t get my hands on it. I bought it online last year, but when it arrived, it stung my nose; it just didn’t work for me. I kept it until yesterday… magic! It’s my Summer again: bronzed skin, springtime, hazy but personal memories. Wildflowers, family walks, the joy of waking up healthy on a Saturday without work. The musk gives it that warmth that makes you feel complete. That’s today!
I love Summer! But I can’t find it anymore; I still have one last flisss left. Sun, cream, powder, golden spikes, mimosa. Mmmm, a delight. Kenzo relaunched the ‘green leaf’ L’Eau d’Été, so why not relaunch Summer?
There was a time when every woman had at least one Kenzo fragrance in her vanity. I had several, most of which stood out for woody and incense notes. For some reason, I’m not as drawn to oriental scents anymore, but I make an exception with Summer because it’s a different story. It’s a sweet but fresh perfume, intense yet light; its balanced combination of citrus and woods makes the almond and mimosa notes prevail. Like many others, I am a widow of this fantastic Summer, which I can’t find anymore and has tortured my summers without its cheerful, subtle, and elegant aroma. Because if there’s one thing summer perfumes lack, it’s elegance. Whoever has it should treasure it because it’s a luxury that makes you shine under the sun, just like its exquisite yellow formula.
I used it many years ago and I miss its scent of mimosa and bitter almonds. Very original and personal. I loved the trail it left when I moved.
I love it! This and the Kenzo Parfum d’Été are beautiful. They have a summer and sun scent, floral but creamy, like a body lotion. It’s very lovely and original. It’s a shame it’s discontinued; I really like Molière fragrances.
It’s an excellent perfume; I can’t find it anymore. Fortunately, I still have the last one I kept in Cozumel for special occasions. It is truly my mimosa; I hope Kenzo relaunches it 😉
It’s an excellent perfume, I can’t find it anymore; fortunately, in Cozumel it’s the last one I keep and use for special occasions. It’s definitely a mimosa for me, I hope Kenzo brings it back 😉
Summer is literally the arrival of summer at a country house. That scent of vanity soap and mimosa flowers, so well-made, so natural… a true beauty and relaxation for the senses. Cheerful, clean, pure, solar, innocent. What can I say, a simple yet lasting jewel. Although I always used it in relaxed, daytime settings (it doesn’t project much), I’ve recently found it interesting for casual summer nights too.
I hope it returns! It’s pure summer in a bottle 💚
I just finished my last bottle, which I kept like gold in a velvet pouch, and it hurts not being able to enjoy it again… It smells clean, like mimosa, like skin. Simply extraordinary!!!
I hope it comes back!! Smells like pure summer 💚
I miss it so much! I owned it in 2005 and 2006; it was the best beach perfume I’ve ever had. It’s tender, sensual, floral, clean, creamy, with that signature talc note. It smells like sunshine 🥰 ☀️ Perfect for everyday wear and warm climates. What a beautiful, unforgettable scent. I’d give anything for it to come back.
I love them! I’m down to the last few milliliters and I treat them like gold 💛
