Signature Tabac is one of the most complex tobacco perfumes I’ve ever tried, and undoubtedly one of the best. It evokes a vanilla and honeyed cigar, a scent that is dense yet delicate and pleasant. It’s not vintage, but its realism transports you back to when a father or grandfather smoked his light tobacco; I can picture my young grandfather, dressed up or with friends, exhaling smoke that flows like a musical staff. It’s sweet in just the right measure, with rich brandy nuances that never overpower the tobacco. The myrrh and sandalwood base supports it perfectly, merely enriching it, and I also sense suede, which adds a lot of elegance and sensuality. It’s best suited for cold weather, with good longevity and moderate projection; it wouldn’t work well if it were too loud, as the scent is so charming that anything too aggressive would clash. I see it as slightly more masculine, but a woman would wear it perfectly. For dates and elegant occasions, it’s the best option and totally worth it. It reminds me of Naxos (though that one overdoes the lavender and has harsher tobacco) and Pure Havanne, which it resembles the most, but with a more polished and refined aromatic structure, without the cherry and with a more present plum, akin to Tobacco & Tonka Bean while keeping proper proportions. I hope to get it; I love it, it’s almost narcotic, and it’s a must-have for tobacco lovers like me. Rating: 10/10
Signature Tabac is, without a doubt, one of the most complex and excellent tobacco perfumes I’ve ever tried. It evokes a vanilla and honeyed cigar, a scent that is dense yet delicate and pleasant. Although it’s not vintage, its realism transports you back to when a father or grandfather smoked his light tobacco; I can picture my young grandfather, in his gala attire or at a gathering, exhaling smoke that flows like a musical staff. It’s sweet in just the right measure, with rich brandy nuances that never overpower the tobacco. The myrrh and sandalwood base supports it perfectly, merely enriching the blend. I also detect suede, which adds a lot of elegance and sensuality. A blend of Pure Havanne and Tobacco Vanille with every imaginable clone. Zaharoff has its moments, but not many, and launching something else with saturated notes only highlights its lack of character. Harsh tobacco, cloying sweetness, and balsamic texture… nothing new under the sun. The presentation, however, is definitely worth collecting.
