I love it for its jasmine notes. It’s a friendly fragrance. It doesn’t have much projection; you enjoy it yourself and anyone very close to you. Sillage is light, though enough for me. It lasts about 4 hours. If I’m looking for more olfactory presence, I switch to Ferrari Red, mind you, they aren’t the same. Red is also wonderful.
Excellent for daily wear in spring, summer (not too hot), autumn, and winter. Elegant, with medium sillage and lasting over 7 hours. Ideal for dates with a partner you know well (close contact) and for work, where it projects seriousness and professionalism. Very good, I recommend it 100%.
It brings to mind Hugo Boss’s green apples; that’s the standout note along with intense cinnamon, fruits, and an ambroxan finish that rounds everything out. Good longevity and projection.
I got it as a sample, and the opening is very similar to Dunhill Desire, though they share notes. I prefer the Desire for being more delicate and refined. The good thing about this Ferrari Black is that it projects more. Both are versatile and recommended for any time of day or weather, except excessive heat.
I was gifted a sample and it reminds me of Dunhill Desire at the opening since they share notes, though I prefer the Desire; I find it more delicate and refined. The good thing about this Scuderia Ferrari Black is that it projects more. Both are very versatile and recommended for any time of day or weather, except extreme heat.
Reminds me of Boss Bottled; it shares notes like apple, vanilla, cinnamon, and plum, plus citrus and cedar. It’s a decent, clean, pleasant scent that doesn’t bother anyone—very versatile. Sweet enough for cold weather but fresh enough for summer (maybe not in direct sun). Smells great, it’s cheap, and lasts 6-7 hours on skin, offering great value. It doesn’t fit the ‘black’ concept; it’s not for night but perfect for daily wear or the office, projecting safety and professional maturity. I recommend it if you just want to smell good without the hassle; for picky noses, it falls short—it lacks complexity and uniqueness.
It reminds me of Boss Bottled; they share apple, vanilla, cinnamon, plum, citrus, and cedar. It follows the same approach: correct, neat, and pleasant, unlikely to bother anyone, very versatile. It has enough sweetness for winter but freshness for summer, maybe not in direct sun. It’s a good, affordable scent that lasts 6-7 hours, offering great value. It doesn’t fit the ‘Black’ name; it’s not for night, but for daily wear or the office, where it projects security and professional maturity. I recommend it if you just want to smell good without the hassle; for demanding noses, it lacks complexity and uniqueness.
I bought it blindly online at 15 and really liked it, even though I had no experience. The 4.2 oz version isn’t for very hot days; with 4-6 sprays, the sillage is weak. On my skin, the strong scent lasts about 2.5 hours before fading to a light trail, totaling around 6 hours. I wouldn’t recommend it much for young people trying to make an impression, as there are fresher options at this price. It has cinnamon, citrus, warm spices, vanilla, and plum. For the price, I’d give it a 7/10.
Ideal for formal work; it’s a lovely and versatile fragrance.
I detect green apple and lime. The opening is light, nothing overwhelming. It’s a youthful fragrance, perfect for daytime, outdoors, or the office. On my skin, it fades quickly to about 3 hours, so I carry it and reapply. Great value for the price.
This was my first Ferrari fragrance; I grabbed a budget set with 40ml and body gel. The opening isn’t powerful; it smells like synthetic fruit (seems like plum or raspberry) with barely any apple or bergamota. It’s sweet but very synthetic. The sillage doesn’t even reach an hour, and I can’t smell the other notes due to poor performance. I didn’t lose money on the set, but I won’t buy it again. Hoping the Bright Neroli isn’t this mediocre.
First fragrance from the luxury car house Ferrari, and I got the chance to review Scuderia Ferrari Black. I bought an affordable set with 40 ml and a shower gel. The opening isn’t powerful; first comes a synthetic fruit (I think plum, but to me it’s raspberry) mixed with apple and bergamot, almost nonexistent. I disagree with others: yes, it’s sweet, but very synthetic. Its trail doesn’t even reach an hour, or I suffer from anosmia, because I can’t perceive the other elements due to its low performance. I didn’t lose on a blind buy and cheap set, but I did lose on discovering a perfume I’ll never buy again. I hope Ferrari’s other fragrance, Bright Neroli, isn’t as mediocre as this.
It opens with apple, soft citrus, and cardamomo, then moves into plum and cinnamon, finishing with creamy, ambered vanilla. Sillage and projection are moderate, lasting 3-4 hours. It reminds me of Boss Bottled, but while that one is balanced and well-executed, this Black feels like it’s halfway there, with less natural notes. Still, the low price justifies it.
Nice fragrance for daily use. It’s very similar to the classic Hugo Boss Bottled. On my skin, it lasts a workday, and on clothes, about 10 hours. Ideal for gifting or buying blind.
Nice fragrance for daily use. It resembles the classic Hugo Boss Bottled a lot. On my skin, it lasts a full workday, and on clothes, about 10 hours. Ideal for gifting or a blind buy.
Great fragrance; it’s practically a close version of the classic Hugo Boss Bottled. Ferrari Black is soft, affectionate, masculine, and playful—it goes with everything, better for cold weather or evenings; in the sun, it performs poorly, and the woods and floral notes come out too strong. I love it, I’m buying another. People always want to smell me from behind; it’s very seductive and nocturnal, a bit shy but worth the price. On the other hand, the classic Hugo Boss Bottled smells delicious but isn’t worth the exorbitant price and poor longevity. It smells more natural and woody than Ferrari Black; they’re very similar, but the amber in Ferrari Black makes it darker and more masculine.

On the other hand, the classic Hugo Boss Bottled smells delicious but isn’t worth it due to its exorbitant price and poor longevity. I have to say it smells more natural and woody than Ferrari Black; they’re very similar, only the amber in the Ferrari makes it darker and more masculine.
It’s a spectacular and super versatile fragrance, but it’s a pity the trail is so weak. I’d recommend it for a date in a spot without olfactory pollution, otherwise, you won’t be noticed at all. It’s for watching movies on the couch at home so you and your partner can enjoy the exquisite aroma. For the price, it’s enough to spray 5 to 8 times every 2 or 3 hours if you use it for work or the office. It works well as a signature scent, great for daytime at work or if you want to go to bed smelling good at night.
It smells like intense cinnamon to me, and after an hour, once it’s dried down, there’s a subtle touch of vanilla.
My brother-in-law gifted me this back in 2010 when he came from Canada; it was an absolute bomb of a sweet scent, leaving a great trail on the streets. The downside is the new formula, which is very soft and more synthetic 🤔.
Beautiful Scuderia Ferrari Black is a delicious fruity-floral fragrance; you can feel the red fruits and roses. It’s a bit warm, perfect for autumn, winter, and spring. It feels youthful, clean, and very friendly. I feel it lacks a bit of intensity, but it still delivers. It was a very pleasant surprise to smell it for the first time, an excellent alternative at a great price. Would I buy it again? Yes, unless a higher-quality version similar to this ends up in my hands.
No wonder there’s confusion between Ferrari Black and Scuderia Ferrari Black; they smell almost identical: shameless low-cost clones of the original Hugo Boss Bottled from the late 90s. The design, black bottle, lettering, and horse logo are nearly identical. Designer perfume brands are often commercially absurd. Bottom line: for under $20 you get a nice clone of Hugo Boss Bottled—a charming, slightly posh but great scent with its sweet apple, cinnamon, cardamom, a touch of rose, and lovely vanilla. Who can go wrong? Just don’t expect extreme longevity; for the price, it does a lot. Don’t ask for the moon, man. Their perfumes make me angry, but their cars are luxury for the few.
It’s no wonder there’s confusion between Ferrari Black and this Scuderia Ferrari Black; besides smelling almost identical (both are blatant low-cost clones of the original Hugo Boss Bottled EDT, the classic and heavily reformulated version from the late 90s), the packaging and bottle design are nearly identical: black, same lettering, same prancing horse logo. Designer perfume companies are often absurd in their commercial moves. Summary: for under 20 bucks, you get a good clone of the original Hugo Boss Bottled, meaning a charming fragrance, a bit posh but great, with its sweet apple, cinnamon, cardamom, a touch of rose, and nice vanilla in the background. Who can go wrong with this? Just don’t expect extreme longevity; for what it costs, it already does quite well. Don’t ask for the moon, man. Their lawsuits, ladies, make me angry… but they aren’t like their rivals, which are luxury items for the few.
Scuderia Ferrari Black is an intense, bold fragrance ideal for the man who wants to make a statement. The opening of citrus and fresh notes creates a vibrant impact. The heart notes of coriander and cardamom add complexity, with spicy and herbal nuances that balance the freshness. This middle phase gives it versatility. The base of vetiver and musk provides a solid woody foundation that aids longevity. It develops softly on the skin, leaving a persistent trail that isn’t overwhelming. The bottle, inspired by Ferrari’s sporty elegance, reflects masculinity and dynamism. In short, it’s a solid choice for those seeking power with subtle nuances, though its longevity and projection might not satisfy those looking for something more enduring and standout. Weak points: Moderate longevity, moderate projection.
One of the first perfumes I was gifted as a teenager. Very citrusy, but that synthetic kind of citrus that just doesn’t appeal. Poor longevity and feels quite dated. I got rid of it.
Bought this for my dad, who doesn’t collect scents and accepts anything. I snagged it for 500 pesos, and it was a win (though if you spend over a thousand, there are better options). Upon spraying, an intense citrus breeze of lemon and bergamot hits first but fades quickly; after 15 seconds, the plum note emerges, followed by a very potent cinnamon that tickles your throat. It’s a bitter cinnamon that pairs perfectly with the plum. As it dries down, you’re left with apple, plum, and cinnamon, with almost nothing else. Lasts 4 hours with strong projection. Pyramid: 1. Cinnamon 50% 2. Plum 20% 3. Apple 20% 4. Others 10%. Composition: 1. Synthetic 30% 2. Spiced 20% 3. Fruity 20% 4. Sweet 15% 5. Citrus 15%. Heat: 0/10, Warmth: 5/10, Cool: 8/10, Extreme Cool: 5/10, Temperate: 9/10, Office: 5/10, Dates: 7/10, Events: 3/10, Daily: 8/10, Party: 0/10. Bottom line: if you’re on a tight budget and want something sweet and spiced but not like cotton candy, this is for you. Perfect for dates or daily wear in cooler weather. For the price, it doesn’t miss.
