It smells dry and a bit rancid to me, but my family loves it. I’m sure it’s that blend of pepper and ginger.
If you’re looking for a cheap Invictus Aqua 2016 clone, this is similar but without the ylang-ylang; instead, there’s mint, it’s less sweet, and feels a bit more mature than the 2016 version, which felt very youthful. Warning: it doesn’t last at all. After a month of oxidation, it sticks to the skin for only 3-4 hours and projects just 30 cm in the first hour. Save your $30-40 and look elsewhere.
I bought it because people said it was like Rasasi Hawas, but there’s nothing alike. They follow the same vibe, but this one is fresher due to the mint. The performance is another story: it lasts 5-6 hours on me, it’s very strong, but it projects less and has a weaker trail. In Mexico, they cost the same, and I’d prefer Hawas a thousand times over. End of story.
I disagree with the previous review; it has nothing to do with Hawas. I own both, and they take completely different paths from the start. Hawas starts sweet with apple and cinnamon, while this one lacks that sweetness. This one opens fresh and citrusy, then wood notes emerge and linger. It’s very linear with no shifts. I wear it daily at the office: fresh enough not to bother anyone, but not overpowering either. I bought it for the reviews and the price. For what it costs, it’s not bad, though I expected it to be closer to Hawas. I haven’t received the compliments I get with Hawas; this one definitely wins hearts.
Very similar to Hawas, with a touch of mint and a much more accessible price. Good longevity and plenty of compliments.
The bottle is very well made and the presentation is great. It’s an Eau de Parfum, feels fresh and potent.
