The description says woody-spicy, but to me it sounded citrusy and aromatic, even though neither this site nor the official website mentions citrus. Ignoring the theoretical notes, it smells citrusy and acidic, a bit opaque with a very subtle woody base from the patchouli; I didn’t detect cedar, spices, amber, or myrrh. It resembles the criticized BLEU de CHANEL, but it’s not a clone—it’s more like a summer flanker, opaquer and more citrusy. Chanel smells better, but this Armaf wins on longevity: the Armaf Platinum lasted me 12 hours with a moderate sillage, while the Chanel fell short there. Despite being fresh, it works well in the heat (28-40°C); if it gets a bit cooler, walking into air conditioning makes it pop back up strong. Upon application, it seems to sit close to the skin, but you notice it within seconds. It’s citrusy, semi-formal, perfect for the office, with moderate sillage and 12-hour longevity, for ages 25+. If you like Blue de Chanel but not for its longevity, try this. Note: I’m referring to the first formula of Blue; they reformulated the current one and messed it up even more.
Smells amazing, a mix of Blue de Chanel and L’Eau d’Issey L’Eau Fraiche. Lasts about 5 hours with average projection at first, then softens. Fresh, perfect for heat and any outfit. Rating: 7.5.
