Another gem from this brand, thanks to darkbeat’s generosity. My nose detects a beautiful, refined, and elegant rose; yes, perhaps a bit more feminine, but I don’t mind 😊. The truth is, it’s a totally different rose from the ones I’ve tried: sweet and spiced, making it super versatile. It has that elegant touch perfect for everyday wear and the office, and that sweet, intense, sexy note of cinnamon and patchouli for night outs. I love it so much that, like with Orecieux, I’m thinking of buying a couple of bottles… and that’s despite having no plan to buy rose perfumes! But these aren’t your typical roses. Every time I think about it, I’m more convinced they have a secure spot in my collection. Scent: 10, Longevity: 8, Sillage: 7.5, Value: 10, Versatility: 8, Overall: 8.5

Roses des Sables is a gorgeous, elegant, and super feminine rose; while it becomes slightly unisex as it dries, it always retains that exquisite feminine vibe that a traditional man might struggle with, but if you have an open mind, it’s fantastic. The listed notes are the main chords, but not the whole story: opening with Turkish Rose, black currant, and raspberry; heart of cinnamon, absolute rose, clove, and incense; base of patchouli, sandalwood, white musk, and Cambodian oud. From start to finish, it’s an elegant and splendid rose—feminine and delicate, set in nuances that, while it might seem one-dimensional, is actually multifaceted: green, sweet, musky, fresh, woody, and spicy tones, creating a vintage and refined floral. The opening is an intensely musky, elegant, vintage rose; I didn’t notice the fruits, just a subtle sweet undertone that leans more toward cinnamon. Gradually, the musk fades, revealing a fresher, velvety rose with a woody and musky base, slightly earthy but always floral, super distinguished and well-bred. The drydown is similar to the mid-stage but with more depth: an impeccable, refined, and selective rose for a woman of clear taste. Performance is very good, lasting 8 to 9 hours on my skin, with notable projection at first and then close-to-skin sillage, which is remarkable for the price. Ideal for cold and temperate climates, day or night, though it’s especially special for romantic dates or formal events; wearing it daily would be a waste. I loved it, but it’s not for me since it’s so feminine; if you’re a woman who loves classic musky roses, buy it, you won’t regret it—it’s a beautiful rose at an amazing price.
